packs saying "download to use"

I recently got a new pc and have encountered a problem with my DLC packs saying that they need to be downloaded to use, however, whenever I go on here(steam) or the EA app it says that the packs are already installed. It doesn't give me any option to download the ones that say they need to be since it seemingly is already installed. pls help :(

If you run the ea app and click on Sims 4, then manage, you can see what add ons are installed.

If you go to library here, right click on properties you can see (in the list DLC's), so you can see what DLC's are installed under steam.

I am having the EXACT same issue and I cannot find anything to fix it. I had to uninstall my sims 4 and reinstall and when I reinstalled all my DLC packages (27 of them!) say the same thing. That I need to install the DLC packs on steam when I go onto the game, but when I go onto steam they say they are installed.

Yes, they say installed and have the checkmark beside them, but they are still not saying installed when you open the actual game. I have tried unclicking the checkmarks, restarting, then clicking the checkmarks... everything.

I have lost all dlc before a few times on The Sims 4, but I have always got them back without me needing to report it to Steam or EA App . It is annoying, but I have only noticed this happen to me a few times. Possibly might have something to do with EA App. There are various different reasons why some people do not like EA App and I think this is one of them.

Fortunately I never ran into an issue where I needed to follow those steps, but I only lost dlc on The Sims 4 twice and hope that it does not happen again or at least a rare occurrence. Apparently some people might be having more serious problems than others in not got getting there dlc back on The SIms 4. Those steps you mentioned make it seem like it is complicated to resolve because apparently some of those steps you mentioned do not work for some people. Apparently one of the people in the comments mentioned getting all dlc back just by simply uninstalling CaS demo, but took 3 weeks to figure that out.

I launched The Sims 4 as a test run to see if I am experiencing the same problem and to my relief I am not and like I said I only lost all dlc twice despite the fact I have played The SIms 4 since March or April of 2022 before EA App became a requirement to replace Origin. I did not really need to do much if anything to get all of my dlc back which was apparently a bug besides leaving the game and coming back on only to notice that the bug is gone, but it did not require any complicated steps, did not require me to uninstall, it only lasted for a short period of time, and not needing to wait for weeks for me to get all dlc back as mentioned by from one of the comments on Xeriath's link. Losing all dlc can be a nightmare, but apparently there multiple different ways to get them back.

i just fixed it! for me it helped to clear cache in the EA app, and when i opened it again i could download the three packs i was missing. hope this helps anyone else!:)
