Game Won't Start

For some reason every time I try to launch The Sims 4, I keep getting a weird error saying "Application not found". This started MONTHS ago and I honestly just didn't think much of it at first but, now that I've tried launching it again after months of not touching it, it gave me that same error message. I don't know what to do about it. I tried re-logging into my EA account, reinstalling The Sims 4, and then launching it on steam, but again, it still does not work. If anyone is curious, the whole error message states: "link2ea://launchgame/1222670?platform=steam&theme=ts4" "Application not found". If anyone has any advice or maybe a solution to this issue, please comment down below. Thank you for reading!

I have no real clue what's wrong here, but it's something to do with linking your ea account with steam and Sims 4.

There is no harm in reinstalling the ea app (or repairing, if it says already installed), then running the ea app to see if that gives you any error messages regarding starting Sims 4, but the Sims 4 forums should give you some idea what's going wrong.
