I gave a like for sharing because I was unaware of everything that was added, but I disagree with Lilsimsie about this being one of the best updates. Gay pride and LGBT+ already has plenty of representation in basegame from both build mode and CaS, but I largely ignore this stuff in my gameplays for the same reason why some people (but not me) may not have interest in playing with occults. Gay pride and LGBT+ also has plenty of representation from dlc.

EA is obviously playing on the recent amount of threads on Inzoi about DEI stuff and decided to take advantage of it with an SDX update. So EA are firing the first shots in this new war on this niche market.

EA has always been inclusive towards LGBT+ with The SIms 4 and even more so than previous Sims games. Considering how much dlc The SIms 4 has and how much has been added to basegame the actual gameplay is more complex than only just DEI and occults. There are plenty of reasons why some people will stay with The SIms 4 instead of playing inZOI or playing both games.

As a gay guy I couldn't care less for this drop, but free stuff is always welcome anyways. I'd rather see more fixes happening. At this point I'd even pay for a "Corrections and Fixes" expansion.

Also, my game used to not crash in normal gameplay but now it does. It used to only crash for me in CaS mostly besides build mode if it is a large and very expensive building that costs millions of simoleons, but not anymore. I am not sure why, but maybe it is because I own almost every dlc on The SIms 4. The crashes are not too frequent, but I need to save often. There might be more that needs to be fixed than only just bugs such as crashing even in normal gameplay when not using CaS.

Same here (except L lady rather than G guy). I hadn't stuck around long enough in game to find any of this SDX stuff.. Didn't care enough to do. Yeah, I'd also pay for a proper 'TS4 Bug Fixes' EP, though I've little confidence they could truly fix the game at this point. :/

I mean yeah I also agree but hey IT WAS FREE. I also was NOT expecting EA to do something about Inzoi.

You know, it's Autism Acceptance Month. Maybe they could have added an autism flag? Anything? That would make a lot more sense. But no, EA chooses not to acknowledge us during our own pride month, of sorts.

Sorry, I just saw LilSimsie's thumbnail and got hopeful, then promptly remembered that nobody cares about MY minority lol

I did find a mod that adds a autism trait. ofc can't show the link but it was on the sims resource and It kinda sucks for someone who has it (includes me) but i kinda would get why they would not add it.

This is completely different. Beside it’s a lot easier to create things for the LGBTQ+ folks as people which have autism. It has his reason why most companies avoid these topics and why mostly only mods exist for that. It’s just a to sensitive topic, which can create negative reaction if they do it wrong.

Topic: Always nice to have new stuff, even if I don’t use them.

i was just saying. there IS an autism flag. they could've added it. they didn't.

No, the SDX goes about LGBTQ+ not about disability this would be completely wrong to add this single flag to this drop. It would be unfair for all other disabilities which exist and have also a flag.
