The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Game Won't Load - White Screen
I currently have No Mods, No CC, No Saves, No Tray. I'm running a fresh download of the game from Steam. When the game opens, I can hear all the background sounds of it loading. I can hear the music. I can hear when you click on things, and my cursor on the screen changes like when you hover over an object on the menu that you can select, maximize/minimize, etc. However, my screen is WHITE and it stays that way. This is the 3rd time since the new update. I haven't been able to play my game at all. I have uninstalled Sims4, uninstalled EA App (because I was getting crash reports on that before - its now fixed), and I uninstalled Steam. After doing a system update, disk clean up, wiped out the trash and cache files, then did a full reboot, I went back and re-installed Steam, re-installed EA App (which is working fine), re-installed Sims4 from Steam --- And we are back to the White Screen. What is wrong? I have a brand new gaming pc running more than the minimum requirements, and there is plenty of space available, and nothing else running to use up my RAM.

About My System:

MINISFORUM Venus UM790 Pro Mini PC
Storage: 954 GB (127 GB if 954 GB used)
Graphics Card: 2 GB (AMD Radeon 780M Graphics)
Installed RAM: 64.0 GB (61.8 GB usable) (Speed: 5600 MHz)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS w/Radeon 780M Graphics (4.00 GHz)

System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch: No pen or touch input is available for this display
Edition: Windows 11 Home
Version: 24H2
Installed on: ‎3/‎24/‎2025
OS build: 26100.3624
Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.66.0

If I'm not mistaken, this should be sufficient to run this game, am I right?

Yesterday I open it up and it started downloading dlc again and wipe out my game saves. I not sure what happen. I guessing the last download of Sims 4 was faulty and they fix it by reinstalling it I guess. I hope I do not have the problems you are having. I know if I do have to reinstall again I will look into make sure all of the Sims 4 folders and whatever are gone before I install it again. I have not check info for make sure the uninstall is complete yet so I guess I am suggesting you check on that before you try a new install. The reason I got to this stage was that Sims 4 crash that mess up gpu and windows 11. It race my gpu and crash windows. I ended up have to unplug and plug my gpu power to card to fix it (guess it reset it) for it could run windows again and then I did a refresh install of windows 11. My thinking that had to do with dx11 problems of
Sims 4 and configuration of some sort but I not a tech person.

Yes, I did check that it was completely uninstalled. I even went to my documents for EA and there were no folders for TS4 in there, and nothing TS4 related on my hard drive.
After they did the download yesterday. I notice it had all the settings max out on game graphics. but when I started a game my 2560x1440 was display right either. I change it and loaded a new resoution and went back to the correct one for my pc and all seems well on that. I notch down the graphics on sims. If you get to opening screen you can click 3 dots and adjust the graphics before starting game. Good Luck. I would run dism chkdsk /f /r and see if windows is having problems. I just downloaded an update today on EA update. I use the main menu Ea updater. If you get it one wait awhile it be few seconds then it stage it. Good Luck
