Please help for I am Dumb. How to switch sims?

So, I know I'm missing something incredibly obvious, but googling it only seems to give me answers of how to switch households.

I just want to know how do I switch to a sim within the same household. One sim has gone to visit a lot, or, the kids gone to highschool, but I want to switch back to the sims on the home lot.

I'll kick myself when a kind soul tells me the very obvious and incredibly easy answer I'm utterly missing 😂

The easiest way is probably to bring up the map, then select the household of your Sims and then take control of them :) The others should stay wherever you have left them :)

Also, you should be able to take control of another Sim by clicking their portrait at the bottom of the screen. I believe there's also a tiny icon on the portrait if you have left that Sim at home - that icon would be in the same place where the little suitcase appears when a Sim is off working. I can't remember what that icon looks like, but if you click on it (I believe it's a right-click, not 100% sure, though), it should give you the option to switch control to that Sim.

to add what the user above said when sims from the same household are all on the same lot you can switch between them quickly by pressing the space bar
