When Disney announced it will let other companies make games with Star Wars license they immediately got off their bums and poped out 3 good single player games.
I hope it will be the same here xD
Hmm good point. Here's to hoping.
EA will change their ways, they don't have a choice if they wish to remain competitive. In order to remain competitive, they need to drop their absurdly high pricing for DLC content ti make it attractive for the customers. Before they had a monopoly on the market and could do what they like, but Inzoi changes that and paralives later in the year.
If EA doesn't want to change and keeps things the way they are, they are going to quickly lose customers as their pricing and practices become more and more unsustainable the longer the other two game run and have DLC content of their own coming out at much cheaper prices.
EA said they can support TS4 well into 2030 if they wanted to, so if they are still looking to make the most of this, they will have to change.
I think that's a bit naive to think EA is going to change their business model -> "they don't Have a Choice". Not sure how many times you've traveled around the sun, but I've been around for a long time and seen large successful corporations failed because they didn't adjust their business model, like Pam Am, Compaq, Commodore, Blockbuster, Kodak, BlackBerry, Sears just to name a few.
I'm not saying I'm right or you're wrong, I'm just say'n But if you'e right, that's good for gamers and the gaming industry. The Sims needs competitors to put them in check, EA is 100% profit driven, so this will be something to watch and see for sure.
Why are people even complaining about this? This a good thing. Sims 4 has been bland and mediocre for 10 years now. Sims franchise needs more competition, don't normalize endless barrage of meh dlc's for tiniest thing that cost way too much.
This is why things have gotten so meh for Sims.
This is a good thing.
