How is that delusional? The first game released 25 years ago and I agree, it's the buggiest game I've ever played. Even now there's a bug with facial expressions getting stuck with the wrong moodlets and it's happening constantly. Take a look at some of their half-assed builds like Agave Abode, Hounds Head, Rustic Residence, 1010 Alto apartments where sims get stuck or can't use things because of the way they built and did no testing. I could go on... Even now sims will get stuck on rocks zoning onto the little island in Windenberg. Zoning into the bluffs with 3-4 sims also gets a sim stuck by the rock at the entrance quite a lot. The sleeping bug, gardening bug, water drinking bug.... ALL STILL IN THE GAME.
I'm not a game dev so I don't really know what to say. We've been waiting even longer for a sequel to Skyrim. It's been close to 15 years. At least with that game, modders fixed a lot of the bugs (and mods were also free rather than paid DLCs...at least until recently).
As for Inzoi, having a $40 price tag for early access game means that the devs have to know how important it will be to fix bugs and other issues ASAP or they'll be flooded with negative reviews. Gamers are very quick to glaze a game they like, but also very quick to turn on a game that disappoints them.
Plenty are really good at doing that, sadly. the sims community is awful in that part.
FYI Have you ever look at the report bugs in EA? do you actually know how many bugs are reported versus bugs that are fixed for the sims4, so before barking please look at the facts.
This is what looks like to not solve bugs in The Sims 4 since release. Note that those are categories that expand into LOTS of threads. Also note, many bugs that have been marked as solved, aren't in fact solved at all. Also, they have this sadistic tendency of merging unrelated threads into each other. Also, not all bugs are reported, because you get to a point that you know it is useless to report it... They won't bother.
The EA forum is just a gas-lighting tool (my opinion). Another one, next to YouTubers (fact). Reminds me of such wise saying as "don't believe what you see on the news on TV".
There is only one way they will actually start to fix the game, and that is when most of simmers stop buying their products. That will never happen. Enjoy the mess, that's what I am doing.
Unless... You switch to Inzoi. But... Inzoi is not The Sims. As far as I know, Inzoi isn't even LGBT friendly, and why would anyone want a life sim without LGBT inclusion. Another but is, you need a quantum computer to run it properly, lol. Most simmers play on their toaster and they will stick to that.
They will do so much as possible they can. We should not forget that the company is in China and of course they have restrictions which they need to follow.
It's annoying, the unethical of this.
I like Sims 4 and I don’t need an open world but I prefer a working product which doesn’t is a buggy mess. If InZOI helps that EA finally give Maxis the resources which they needed to fix this game I am completely okey with all these *ads* here. If you dislike that just don’t click on them or if you see it again as an ad for InZOI just leave without comment.
People sometimes have too high of expectation, I looked at plenty of play through and see bugs here and there and that is without mods so I know that it is to be expected.
those who can't accept that save yourself the investment and wait till its updated and more to your expectation. as The Sims like others did mention this maybe exactly what they need it, a shock to wake them up, see that trouble is ahead as Ubisoft just finally realized lately.
BTW, can it be bought through Steam?
I equate this to, Sims 4 is like herding cats, I'm constantly correcting their actions. for example reading skill books or completing a job assignment on the computer, I give them a task and 5 seconds later and they're off doing something completely different. I check the action bar and they have no needs highlighted, like they need to eat, sleep or something, they just get up and start a conversation with a roommate or something completely off the wall, its like they all have ADHD.
That is the frustrating part of the game for me, its gets tiring of constantly redirecting them and I burn out looking to play something else. If I assign a task and they need to use the restroom, that's fine, but once they finish and washed up, they should go back to the original task until it is completed. Why EA can't code this into their game is puzzling.
Inzoi is going to have issues no doubt, it's early stage and lots needs doing for it, but i am tired of EA's constant nonsense, overpriced DLC's with with barely anything interesting in them plus the same stuff in each pack. Time for something different.
