The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Are Most people switching to InZOI?
Paying $30-40 for an early access game is not uncommon. I tried the demo and it looked cool, but I can't afford to pay $40.

I'm not that into these type of games, but I thought it would be cool to do a video about it for Youtube. So I was thinking about doing a video for The Sims 4, but if everyone is going to be playing InZOI it would be dumb to upload a Sims video.

Wait. It's possible to do that?
My thoughts exactly. I thought you have to choose your side.

I'm mostly just asking because I'm not sure whether it's a waste of time to do a Youtube video on Sims 4.

I'm not trying to start a flame war. I guess it wouldn't surprise me since I know how gamers can be.

I'm level 0 because I've never played these type of games before.
People can ask questions, it's fine. I did like that it had the ability to create custom patterns & scan in an object to the game - but I play Sims entirely and solely for nonsense & shenanigans & if it doesn't have those it's just a really pretty doll-house. Technically impressive sure, but I will wait to see what the actual game-play is like. I do like that there'll be some competition that can only be good overall. I really really hope EA also adds the ability to add or at least further tweak the customisation options of the sims, or adds the workshop for things like custom wall/floor patterns or clothing patterns here in steam.

Also I can own more than one game and play and enjoy them for different reasons. I play ESO and GW1 even though GW2 is my main MMO. Same with Paralives (if it releases) and Inzoi & Sims, maybe I won't get "into" them in the same way but who knows maybe they'll scratch a different itch and I'll continue to enjoy both.
inZOI has a lot of to offer, been playing the character creator non stop :lunar2020ratinablanket:
Buy an ad.
I'm not buying a game were product name placement is done by trolls. A company that does this will screw over their customers like no one's business.

I can only speak for myself: I personally will switch to InZoi. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Sims 3, but SIms 4 was and is a huge disappointment. Not only has the open world been canceled, the game also came out unfinished (without toddlers, pools, etc.) - and not in Early Access, but the players were presented with an unfinished game as a finished full version. And now EA is delivering expansion packs at a price that you can get InZOI for, which even in Early Access does so much better than the developers of Sims 4. What's more, the first expansion packs will probably be free (during Early Access).

Since InZOI already seems to be better than Sims 4, and many more features are planned for which the developers of Sims 4 would probably charge several times the full price of a game, the Sims game series is dead to me.

The Sims 4 also cost $40 and was supposed to have less content than Inzoi.
The Sims 4 DLCs price $40 and have less content than The Sims 4.
Inzoi price $40 at a time when games normally cost $60 to $70.
Inzoi already have a Roandmap in which they plan for future Free content.

No, most people which play Sims 4 don’t have the hardware which could run InZOI good. I self will look in it, maybe purchase it but switching completely? I doubt it. I purchased also Baldur’s Gate 3 in Early Access twice to support Larian Studios, and not because I had the urge to play it.

I wouldn't switch from a full release game with a huge modding community to an early access game, I doubt anyone is right now. Maybe in one year when the game is fully released with DLCs then maybe I will consider it (although I will need to upgrade my potato PC first lol).

I wonder if this is the main reason EA decided not to release TS5 I think most people think this way. Why buy a new game when I am so invested in TS4 already.

If its money you are worried about, I think Steam Terms of Service, allow for a full refund of the game during its Early Access period, meaning you could buy the game play it make your video and then refund it ;p

I am not 100% but it might be something to look into :)

I think that's going to be a major obstacle. I recently checked the requirements, and my computer should be able to run it at the minimum requirements. However, I won't be getting it because I don't like the look. Don't get me wrong, I think it's mindblowing what can be done in terms of realistic graphics these days, but it's that degree of realism that I personally don't need or want in a game. I play games because I want to escape reality, not move around in an enviroment that looks hyperrealistic. Which is why I'd rather check out Paralives because the aesthetics of that one are far more appealing to me.

Pretty much this. I enjoy the sillyness of the Sims and the random mischief my Sims get up to, which is why I always leave autonomy on. The things my Sims have done because of that have often been downright hilarious, and there have been many gaming sessions during which I was just laughing out loud.

That would be so cool! The idea of customising tons of stuff by uploading your own patterns and objects is something that will set the game apart from the Sims. I wouldn't put my money on EA "borrowing" that idea straight away, though. I think they'll wait and see how well InZoi performs and whether it really will be the serious competition it's supposed to be. It wouldn't hurt if it turned out to be just that because at this point, EA is way too comfortable with basically holding the monopoly on this sort of games. Can't hurt to shake them up a bit :)

Patrick, I am sure you do know an answer to my question ;p Just a short answer, no need to wast your time xD

Does Life and Death have any game breaking or otherwise obnoxious bugs or is it safe to play ?

The real question is, do you want to support a greedy company like EA? To answer your question, yes, many people will be switching over to InZOI including Sims 4 content creators. InZOI will offer more than what The Sims 4 has to offer with its $1000+ DLCs. Make gaming great again.

Do you have a link to the Demo? I read where you have to jump through a few hoops to actually get it.
