The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

The downfall of the sims is upon us. Game is outdated
Open world/neighborhoods I strongly believe the sims 4 needs to release some maps that are open like in the sims 3 or at the bare minimum at least have the neighborhoods open. It’s ridiculous you can’t walk over to your neighbors or even see them in their house or yard.

Pretty sure I’m going back to the sims 3 with mods. EA is just milking the shi* out of the sims 4.
Beware of starting a new account with The SIms 3 meaning that you keep one account only with The Sims 3. I could only resolve my issue with not being able to launch The Sims 3 anymore due to an error by starting a new account. When I did that I lost all dlc and could not use them ever again. Even when trying to purchase the dlc again for a second time regardless of whether it be from Steam or EA App the Seasons expansion pack refused to download meaning that I am permanently stuck with only just basegame for The Sims 3 along with mods and cc after starting a new account so that way I could properly launch The Sims 3 again.

I owned almost every dlc at one point with The Sims 3 and downloading anything from The Sims 3 "store" (which sells content that is separate from dlc) for me does not work anymore either, but now I have none from both dlc and store. It is the opposite for me with The Sims 4 where I have not run into any such issues. Even before that happened I had various other issues in playing The Sims 3 that in some ways were worse than The Sims 4 despite it being open world and having cheaper and beefier dlc.

I, too, liked Sims 3 "Edit Town" and CAW. Especially CAW. With that and NRAAS mods, you could populate it how you wanted it.
Sadly, I played the Perfect Sims 3 game. I did everything perfectly. No mistakes. No regrets. So, I cannot play it anymore.
Sims 4? Everything is a mistake. I keep restarting, "If only I hadn't taken that trait!". Having a problem with a trait (okay, it's Romance, You know what I'm doing) overpowering every other emotion out there. Can't focus on jewlery. Can't be inspired on painting.

If you write so, the only thing which matters is that you have fun with the game you play. I have more fun with 4 than I had with 3 but this doesn’t mean that 3 doesn’t had his strengths. Mermaids are better in 3 because of the underwater lots and I still miss the Plumbots from Sims 3.
We wont get open world or even more fleshed out worlds, with more lots, for the fantastic reason that EA actually knows what they are doing on this regard There is just so much you can cramp into a save game, and the more there is, the greater are the chances for crap to go wrong. And since craps go wrong as soon as you start a save... Better not add open world, or anything similar. Same for maps, the fewer the lots the better, because they probably know that if you fill 20 lots with CC cluttered homes, the save might start to break even sooner. Probably why they release 90 shallow DLC that could be just 5 or 6 full fledged expacs. Spreading it thin for profits since they cant do much more with this release...

Whatever you do make sure you enjoy it!

Well depending on how this new "sim" game that's coming out in a few weeks does and if ea sees a decline in player count maybe they'll change it. I'm sure they held off on the sims 5 due to this game that's coming out. The open world looks pretty darn good ATM. Another point is the fact its 2025 and we still dont have MP, wtf?

That is what Project Rene is meant for, but it is controversial because it includes mobile in addition to multiplayer, single player, and PC.

sims 4 is brain dead easy i like sims 2 or 1 better as the game is challenging i remember replaying the broke family when sims 2 re release my brandi broke died 3 days in 2nd try beau was taken away couse i neglected him sims 2 is challenging.
sims 4 on the other hand i can keep things go good i dont even get fires couse you cook garden salad till level 2 3 cooking than cook with the stove and i dont get fires enleast i dont focus than i do but it so easy to deal with if i had a fire in sims 1 or 2 my sim be dead.
i never get kids taken away with either or sims just randomly dying i have to go out of my way to get a sim to die in sims 4.
like i dont know how people have difficulty with sims 4 its brain dead easy it the easiest sims game in the franchise the mobile games are harder than sims 4 tho
i dont think it will be the easiest for long as i think project rene is gonna be even easier

project rene is gonna flop calling it now it gonna force you to be allways online and sims gamers dont like that and they tried multiplayer once before in a sims game it was called sims online and it allso floped server where dead.
there allso probably gonna be a paid battle pass and microtransactions and you have to put up with other people's sims trying to talk to your sims.
like i try it when it comes out but my expectations are low it probably just stick to sims 1 2 and 4 after about a week i allso dont like how the sims in the leak for it look like they where clay motion

Yeah, I doubt Project Rene will be a success. EA tried more as once adding multiplayer/mobile aspect to Sims. They all failed except Sims Freeplay and even there the numbers are rookie numbers if you compare it to other mobile games.

Least they brought back the burglars 😁

I’d be happy with just being able to have your friends join, having a whole bunch of people you don’t know would ruin the online experience.

I just personally believe the lots/neighborhoods just feel dead like there’s no activity going on except people walking by on the street/sidewalk that strangely doesn’t even have cars. Wish I could see my neighbors at least…. I wonder if someone could make a mod for that?

Get your head out of your ass EA and open up the lots… it’s 2025 I think we can take the fps hit!
It would be easyer to make a new game then make a world open in sims4. If you think sims 4 is a buggy mess now. trying to open up the world would be a disaster.
