The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

My Sims 4 Will not load, help
My nearly 9 hours of 'gameplay" has been from me trying every solution to fix this.
Every time I launch the game the EA page loads and then it says that something went wrong and to restart to retry.
I have tried deleting the game files, redowloading, tried turning off any DLC, repairing the files, deleting steam, reloading everything, updating drivers etc.

I am at a loss but really miss playing sims (had it on a different computer but cant access that anymore)

Any ideas? This has been an issue since the old platform to steam

Ye, me too. I got a new PC and installed the game and the EA launcher and now the launcher simply won't start, tells me something about background services that don't answer and stuff.
Services is in start menu under windows tools . Check to see if it disabled. You can shortcut Services with file location open send to desktop. It under EA background services.

Probably best to reinstall the ea app first (and repair it once you launch it):
https://www.ea.com/ea-app

There is going to be an update today, so that will complicate things. Move your mods out first before you do the update. The 'event' will continue soon as well so that will further complicate things (might be better to do that before restoring your mods back to documents).

If you're PC has that damned "one drive", where Microsoft forces you into a monthly subscription and sells info about your saved data to the highest bidder, get rid of it.
Kill it. Squash it. delete it. It's nothing but trouble and a scam to get your money.
Daughter had the same problem on her puter with Sims 3. Well known problem with the EA troubleshooter guys. The game can't open a save file, so it crashes.
lynodie:

If you are on windows, open 'task manager' and if there any instances of Sims 4 or the EA app running, end task for them, see if that makes a difference.

I think i found the possible reason for the strange behavior of the ea app: when i tried to repair the ea app it demanded that i restart my computer (can't test that right now since my PC is uploading a file to a website). Will restart my pc soon and see if that fixes the problem.
The ea background service is running according to services, but according to the taskmanager its not running

Ok, fixed. Repairing the EA app did the trick.
I did these suggestions. At least a pop-up now shows. it says: "the requested operation requires elevation"
any ideas?
