how to find hair mods/packs?

is there a specific pack on steam or somewhere online where I can find good hair mods? there's not a ton of options when you first get the game.

every expansion pack comes with new hairstyles as well as some game packs

you can find custom hair online at various sites the top two are the sims resources and mod the sims

you can also find hair all over the web from many different sites

I would go to Curse Forge and sims 4 and search the mods for hair nice make up too

The Sims Resource website. Literally thousands of them up for grabs there.

Some mods are very poorly done, so only add a few at a time. That way you can spot the crappy one.
And be aware that some mods are malacious. Python is not a game language, it's become very powerful and can open internet links and send information back to the mother ship. Some popular mods do this... you know because they tell you when they're out of date, and they keep a log in your The Sims 4 directory of every mod you have for the game.

There's no python scripting in hair mods.

One of my biggest beefs with this game, specially for dudes. CC was the answer for me, since I am surely not paying expac prices to get 1x hair style.
