The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Lovestruck... omg
So after long time of refusing to buy the last DLC to my collection, i finally did it. I feared it, because people discussed about how it messed up their game. I have only one problem now. Two sims in love sleeping in double bed auto-cuddle in sleep. When the second sim enters the bed, they immediately stop sleeping and get back up. I click to sleep again, they crawl back to bed, to auto-cuddle with their lover. Is there way to stop auto-cuddle in sleep? Any way to stop it with ingame options? The speed of sleep lowered from 3 arrows to 2... Please, not MCCC again, i'm getting tired of using MCCC for 1000+ problems this game has...

MCCC is a really good mod to fix many issues in the game. Sorry but it is true. I just wish I better understood how to use it.

This is another thing i dislike. People just shrug over trillions of bugs and searching for solutions while company just laugh and sh*t on it's customers. I remember 20+ years back if company doing work this bad, the fanbase would effin DESTROY it through boycotting. That's why Sims 1 have almost no bug. They feared us. Sims 2 as well, not many bugs. Today if someone complain, brainless fanboys send the complainer to hell. Why people forgot how to fight for their cause?

Because they maybe don’t get this issue? I never encountered this bug. If one of my sim join the other sim they don’t get up, they go near and cuddle. If one wakes up the other stays in bed and sleeps until their need is full. The speed of energy regs is also not slower. There are some mods which conflict with this feature. Lovestruck has plenty of bugs/annoying features but the cuddling is not one of them.

Try to send both your lovers to sleep at the same time. I too don't experience this when one already sleeps and THEN the other joins. The last night right now was the couple not cuddling, just sleep normally next to each other. I'm confused. But about mods... i using only Wicked Whims, plus some mods to eliminate something annoying like fears, or less idle animations, or no idle chat (like sims always choose topic for talk all the time, when i let them chat autonomously).

Even if they go to bed to the same time, i don't get this problem but i don't have any mods active. Dunno why you have so much trouble with that. There is too no bug report to this issue. You always can create one if you get this too without any mods. Just because I don’t have it doesn’t mean that this bug not exist.

I have this too; not exactly game breaking. Doesn't crash the game or throw a BSOD.
Remove WW and see if this persists; we have this mod in common.

The Sims 1 is FILLED with bugs. Sims 2 as well. And, no, boycotts weren't really a thing. Now, crappy games would have terrible sales because they were a bad product, but that's not boycotting.

People who seem to think games from back in the day were bug free have absolutely no clue what they're talking about. If anything, they were buggier because being able to patch the bugs was so much more difficult. I had SimCity v1.2 (note, not 1.0) on my Commodore 64 and would crash like clockwork after a few hours.

And, sorry, trillions of bugs? Dozens, maybe, but any large software package has bugs and anyone who says differently hasn't written a line of code in their life.

So you think I am a waste because I look for a way to play this game with less issues by using a mod that can make that happen? Well so be it. You see I am not the brainless fool you think. I realize the EA will never fix the bugs in their games. They do not care they only want money. I like many realize that and we love the game so we use mods to help us salvage the game for us to play and enjoy. So, look down on me , raise your nose and drowned in the rain. I care not. I enjoy the game the best I can and do not falsely believe that a miracle will happen and EA will develop a caring attitude. They will not do that with those in charge of it now.

Desdinova you are correct. In all my years I have never played a game without bugs. Many were never fixed. They just found a way to punish those that exploited it. They fixed major ones but they never fixed them all.

I'm 45 years old, so i KNOW what i'm talking about. You can't possibly compare Sims 1 and Sims 4 in matter of bugs. If you do, you have very bad memory, or you didn't play both games enough to make that statement. I never said older games didn't have bugs, but it ISN'T even comparable to today's coding work. I accuse EVERYONE who think that the time in gaming never changed that the person with this opinion never lived in 90s. Also only a slave can say that no one can do anything against big company. Yes, they only want money. But WE are the customers, they are dependent on US. It's meek stance and fanboysm that makes developer companies untouchable, people like you and Phae who just shrug and enjoy every scrap or bone you can get from Steam. Acceptance of any fate is peasant's undoing. Todays games have 10x more bugs than games 25 years back and coding was harder, the technology was crude. Developers worked more and had hundreds of payed testers. Today no testers, games are released in beta/alpha state and community testing it, like it's any better. Testers were payed for it, we now buying crappy state games to test it. What a contrast, isn't it?
