The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Problems running Sims 4
I have had no end of trouble trying to run this game. I bought the game as part of a bundle including sims 1 and sims 4. This was the only one which briefly worked. I has not worked after any of the patches. I had managed to run the game for 4 hours approximately.

I am using windows 11 on a hp laptop. Operating System Build 26100.3194
After checking the technical requirements I downloaded all three games. As far as I know everything should have worked. I met the minimum requirements. The extra content would not download so I only tried the basic Sims 4.

The game runs very poorly then crashes. It is now unplayable and I am incredibly disappointed.

i also have problems with it, it worked perfectly fine a few hours ago but now it always tells me that i don´t have any packs but i own them. Normally it helps to restart the game but this time nothing works.

I am not a tech savy person but I have in my many years of playing run into similar issues with various games. I don't play on a laptop one main thing is I have to use a keyboard that is not so small and a mouse that I have better control over. That is my issue lol .. However, unless the laptop is a gaming laptop there are many issues with them playing games. Two of my sons play games on theirs but they have top gaming laptops and even then memory can become and issue. Even PC like I play on can have issues with graphics or memory. Mine is a gaming PC but there have been some games that I barely meet requirements an that game will be laggy with poor graphics. When I have issues with sims it is most of the time an issue with EA app, cache files having to be cleared more often and such. Your running a laptop so hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you. I just know from all my sons have been through with laptops and me with just using one for writing unless it is a high end with a graphic card that can handle gaming they are not the greatest to play games on. :(
There are lost of issues with Sims 4 with these last updates even I have had issues logging in due to something with the DLC's. I still have not seen why it has happened.

i do play on laptop, a very cheap one that is absolutely not special but usually sims is not a game that has much problems on a laptop,at least not severe or long term problems. Other games like fortnite or something have severe problems with normal laptops but sims is a different kind of story...you do have to own a very old or bad laptop for it to not work bc of the laptop itself.
I had lots a problems with windows 11 but the last update 24h2 seems to have most things fix now you might check if you there yet. HP has support utility tool for HP to keep updates on your laptop. You probably already done this but I thought I add it.
