You get what you pay for.
Anyhow, the DLCs are optional. I think they are a good option actually. Contrarily to other games who have in-game sales or abonements this game actually offers more if one chooses to buy the DLCs.
Depending on what you like some of the expansion packs are great. I, personally, love Growing Together in particular. Yet I could play it even without it.
Hmmm...for me the DLC in the Sims are like seasoning of a salad. You can eat it without it, yet it just is such a better experience with them. Though like with the salad one should pick and choose what to season with. Adding all kinds of flavours at once will ruin the whole salad.
Haha, hope you get what I mean. Basically I am saying it is free to play and the DLC are just nice additions, which actually improve the fun factor, if one has the money to spare. Can do without it too though. :-)
DCS World is almost $5,000 for all the DLC (which most players are only interested in a tiny fraction of) and that's not getting into thousands more dollars of required hardware and simply needing a MUCH higher end computer.
until fanbase steel defend those bad pratctise , you'll get again and again now all sim game , 4x games with 1000k $ dlc to have a proper experience lol
this is not righ ,
f2p or not ( keep in mynd they go f2p because the vanilla have nothing ) , they add all the goods stuff behind paywall with high price . i can understand new dlc with some contents to be 30+ $ , but all dlc 're over 35$ , even the first one that have more 5 years .
and we steel get some few players claiming this is all right lol
Haha, true. Though I honestly do not think all the DLC are needed to have fun. The base game is way better than it used to be. Having a few DLC will make it better, but all is just a bit much. I mean if one can afford it, sure, but many of them are just different styles anyway. The ones that are really interesting, to me anyhow, are ones with actual gameplay content. Like Go to Work or Magical Realm.
One can always wait for one of the sales and then get the DLC one wants. One at a time. Or only one if one wants one. Or none. XD Haha, freedom of choice is great like that. :-D
Haha, though a sale might be better for your wallet. XD
On the one hand, yes seems bit much. On the other, it is nothing compared to what others pay in in-game sales or over time with abonements. Also, as sad as that is, 35$ bis not even enough to get the most basic necessities in a supermarket anymore. You need at least 50$ nowadays. If you are lucky that is. XD Prize increase is felt everywhere.
Sims Medieval still has its original prize of 12$ or something I think XD Back then only the BIG version so the base games cost 35-50 depending on whether or not you wanted the deluxe addition. Haha, the expansions cost 9,99$ or something I think. Used to be a lot for little me back then XD
Hehe, still remember standing in front of the desk where they displayed all their Sims discs. Going home with one of them was one of my greatest pleassures back then. <3
Although, gotta admit, still grinning like a little kid when I buy myself an expansion pack I really want at a sale or when I get one gifted to a birthday. A friend of mine, a doctor, asked me to gift her some to her birthday too. (A huge fan of the healthcare expansion pack idea that one. For obvious reasons... XD )
I guess sometimes value is more than numbers. XD Though I would never buy all the DLCs I think. Or if so only over a long period of time and mostly during sales. Gotta make the best out of it, after all. <3
Sorry the original poster doesn't like it. Be sure to ask Steam for a refund for the free Sims 4 download. Oh wait, original poster doesn't have the game cuz no little mouse icon. I guess that explains all the hearsay evidence.
