No Time Travel Component

I started a new game, no mods because something was borked, and no mods is kinda... fun!
First thing it says with the current event is to activate the time travel component.
How do I start the event over again?

Okay, I installed it on a computer in the park. Then it broke. It said fix it but there was no option to fix it other than magic. So, it was fixed. But that didn't clear the quest item.
Then I stupidly restarted the game from a prior save, so no more fixed broken computer, but the event didn't reset

Can't you do anything right? Geeze, just because you're a gas doesn't mean you have to be an airhead Xenon.
Use your magic to zipzap your home computer. then call to have it fixed. Then you can pick up the quest by asking Emit what went wrong.

I didn't even bother to fix the computer, without thinking, I just replaced it. I finished that particular quest in under 5 minutes. I wonder how many more of these events are they going to present us with.

Yeah, I had no problem with that but I always use a normal Sim. I don’t trust EA that they think that people would use a occult Sim for the event! So, I am not surprised if things bug out. The best way is just play as you only own the base game and don’t use DLC stuff/Do things outside your home lot, unless the event recommond it.
