Can't start The Sims 4

Pls help cause i wanna play The Sims 4 but when i try to start the game it loads but then it just goes back to the homescreen on the EA App. I watched videos and stuff but it never worked but yesterday i could still play normally and everything just worked. Help me cause i wanna play The Sims 4 so bad :(

Try reinstalling the ea app. Download the ea app downloader, run it, and you will, probably, have to click on repair:

I've been having the exact same issue & the TLDR is that re-installing the EA app fixed it (somehow mine disappeared altogether)!

Error Codes/Other Symptoms of the Issues:

*A pop up message over top of where my game should appear with the error "link2ea://launchgame/1222670?platform=steam&theme=ts4 Application not found"

*After closing that out, the Steam pops up with an error stating, "The Sims 4 Failed to start process for this game: 'The operation was canceled by the user' (0x4C7)"

At this point, I'd already validated all my files for my game to make sure they were downloaded properly (view in your Library > Gear Symbol > Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files), so I went to check the EA app, per this thread's recommendations.

Tell me why it gave me an error message (which I don't have saved anymore bc I've re-installed the EA app) saying that it COULDN'T FIND THE EA APP. Every EA app or related EA app file---*poof* gone overnight. But a simple re-download (https://www.ea.com/ea-app#downloads) & now Sims 4 opens back up totally fine?!

Maybe my cat uninstalled it? Idk....but yay for a solution?! LOL

I have 2 questions: If i uninstall The Sims 4 will my saves be lost and how do i do it? And will my problem than be fixed?

I had the same problem and reinstalling through EA fixed it. I'll still try to fix the Steam version though, as I have many achievements and DLCs there.

Start EA APP manuelly and log in via Steam. This should be enough to link your accounts.

Just got done playing Madden, went to start TS4 and I am a hour into trying to link the two
