The new grief traits
Looks like these are as bothersome as fears. Unavoidable and... eternal? Is there way to get rid of them, or they stick with sims forever, deletable only with cheats?

you can use cheats/mods to redo traits you can also use cas.fulleditmode so you can redo traits in CAS mode, theres also a potion you can buy with aspiration points that will let you reselect traits

It's become clear to me that many of the game developers never play the game, some of these traits are aweful.

Is it not only for starting 3 traits?

Devs meant it as a challenge through moods, but we always should have option in game to get rid of it outside mods and cheats. Not everyone want challenges.

Ok, one of my sims overcame the grief trait, it's gone. But i dunno if the time is a factor and/or attending Grief Counseling every day...

Oh my more Counseling. There is a counseling thing for the love and relationship too. Are we adding a new career for Psychology maybe ?

That would be reasonable, but very boring job. Also Inner peace aspiration's Clear Perspective is great for clearing negative moodlet... along with spellcaster potion Emotional stability, till the negative trait disappear. My sim's gf had almost every day two angry moodlets, it was not funny :D

No, it is never fun when a sims is unhappy in any form..

I was wondering about that, too. One of my Sims recently started grieving out of nowhere, a bit like existential anxiety. She would hide under the covers of her bed and just cry her eyes out, the next minute she was as happy as a lark. Very annoying, and there was no reason for her to become depressed to begin with. But the potion sounds like a good idea, that Sim happens to be an accomplished spellcaster, so I'll just have her whip up a batch of that potion next time I play.

It's as dumb idea as fears and tense from overworking. Annoying. Lucky some can be turned off, others can be dealt with cheats, some with mods.

Also Happy New Year.

I can get behind the negative effects of working too much, I mean, we've all been stressed out about work at some point, right? And I can get behind the midlife crisis thing, too, because many people start to look back on their lives sooner or later, wondering if they've always made the right decisions or if they've achieved everything they could... it's kinda relatable and the game provides an explanation, too. But that grief just came out of nowhere. Or that constant fear of being alone. No matter how often my main Sims couple talks about that fear, it pops up again sooner or later. At this point, I just ignore it because it doesn't make them miserable.

Happy New Year to you, too :)

The worst thing is fears popping up early. Fear of swimming in a pool, being judged, swimming in the ocean, whatever. And you don't have enough satisfaction to buy a simple potion.

Fear, anger, hate, the path to the Dark Side they are....
