The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Just a couple of "Better Choice" Questions
1) If I upgrade an appliance... then purchase a new one (Okay... this question even sounds dumb as I'm asking it)... Will the new one have the upgrades? (Like does it follow my character; not just the appliance?)

2) A less dumb question: Regarding outside trash bins is there a difference between one to another... other than price? I've notice on most items there are various ratings, so as the price goes up so does the benefit(s). But I'm not seeing any benefits between the Bins other than appearance. I'd like to save money... but I'm also at a point where I need to make better choices for my Toon.

3) Can Sims catch fire via the Fireplace? I haven't played the Sims since Sims 1; and I recall Sims catching fire while cooking. I don't even recall if they had fireplaces back then. In any case... everyone keeps lighting the FirePlace; (Bunch of Entitled simulated jerks)... and I try to remember to put it out... but often forget (or just don't notice). So... I'm wondering if this is going to one day become an anecdote at someone's dinner party; "Did you here about all those Sims that burned to death because some user never told them to put out the fire!!!" (I know... I know... I have wayyy too much time on my hands.) But seriously... can this become a problem; should I just remove the fireplace before I end up regretting it?

Advance Thanx!!!

As to number 1... 'Yeah'... that's kinda what I figured :(. As to the others... great info... Thanx. I like the fireplace too; I really don't want to lose it; but I'm sure the first time a Toon catches fire I'll change my mind - LOL.

The campfire doesn't surprise me; but I hadn't consider Washer/Dryer (and thus... other appliances)... I'll get an eye out for those. Good looking out Mate!!!

1. No. Once you upgrade that specific item the item remains upgraded forever and you have to do the same of every other item you place down, they don't auto-upgrade because you already have one upgraded item on the lot.

Depending how many items you got that can be upgraded on your lot? it could take several game days with a single sim to get through upgrading the majority of these items, especially with low level handiness that doesn't provide any bonus speed in upgrades.

2. no benefits between the bins, it's merely based on aesthetics and a money sink.
