Is the word "Christmas" offensive or something?
So far, this "cozy" event has avoided anything related to "Christmas" and not mentioned it once. Is it that offensive?
This "Event" has been nothing but an insult.

I think that's just the way of the world, even though Xmas gets most of the attention there are many holidays that people celebrate instead at this time, as the world seems to be forcing itself to be as inclusive as possible the word holiday is used instead of Xmas in places like this game which certainly tries to be inclusive as possible.

Not only that but in game it's even called Wintersfest rather than Xmas, so to begin with it was all a bit made up anyway.

This event is closely related to Christmas actually even with the event not being called Christmas. Also, billions of people worldwide do not celebrate Christmas and this is especially true for Muslims. Ramadan is the special holiday for Muslims instead of Easter and Christmas that takes place every September. The only way to make a Christmas event from EA to be inclusive towards everyone regardless of religious beliefs or lack thereof is by making it secular.

It is because it is not exclusively Christmas. It is simply the Holiday season. Not every person celebrates Christmas.

Since every person does not (agreed) that means Christmas is to be shunned (disagreed and offensive). It's like you show up at a party and you're treated as if you're invisible.
To be fair, they mention "traditions" for holidays without naming the holiday. They try to make a buck off Christmas without ever mentioning one Christmas tradition as being Christmas.

IF they want to do Ramadan, fine. Great even. First they need to have their sims stop drinking "juice", tho. That is insulting to Islam. Talk about the Holiday, the daytime fasting, and so on.

This game's foundation was laid on roleplay. You can easily do that in the game if you celebrate that holiday. The game's inclusiveness to experiences and accessibility makes essentially anything within our grasp possible.

It's not treated as "offensive", they're obviously trying to be more inclusive.
If you're insulted then I suggest not being so selfish.
Apparently cause no one in the U.S.A. says Merry Christmas anymore always Happy Holidays appears a few Snowflakes ruined Christmas.

Whether one says Merry Christmas or not is subjective. The United States of America is an extremely diverse country. For instance, I can ensure you a good amount of our Chinese citizens do not celebrate Christmas, and instead the Chinese New Year. And there are many Chinese people in America, and have always.

I see a lot of excuses, but no mention of the holidays that we're being educated upon. Yes, there are other winter holidays, but no mention of what those holidays are in the game, and no mention at all about Christmas. Yes, it may be that a small minority of a billion people or so celebrate it, but still it deserves a mention. Or at least, these other holidays need to be named. I wouldn't mind being educated, but this not educational. Somewhere, someone has a specialty drink or food. Okay, who are they that celebrates this other holiday?
The goal seems not to educate about other end of year holidays, but to deny one holiday, Christmas.
Lets be honest, EA gives Christmas disrespect in sims 4.

the infamous "inclusive by exclusion", and "if you don't like the hate we have, then that's your problem".

Part of Christmas is represented actually from both this event and Seasons dlc, but it is in the form of materialism. An atheist in the United States for example (but they only represent a small percentage of the U.S population who openly identify as atheist) might celebrate Christmas only because of having family who celebrates it, presents, and/or Santa Clause. Also, the true meaning of Christmas has various different meanings depending on who you ask. I personally do not have any problem actually if this event were to be called "Christmas" and even atheists (especially European, Pacific Islander, Australian, Filipino, and American atheists) may not necessarily have a problem with an event being called Christmas on The SIms 4 because of the examples I mentioned earlier, but the problem is that EA does not want to offend anyone and if I am not mistaken they have always been this way. (Just as a side note when I mention American atheists I am referring to atheists from all countries in the Americas including even Cuba and not only just the United States.)

I think they are just trying to do an umbrella type event to encompass as much as possible.
they shoud add a toggle in game to for the events/ in game hollydays be islam themed, christian themed, judaism themed or all of the other religion in the world themed... or custom hollydays like there are now.
