Ran into my first freeze...
about two hours in, never played befor, decided to make a meal WITH a visitin sim. The screen dimmed a little...everything froze forever (at least until I closed the program) but the diamond above my sim was still turning.

I have also had a problem with the game freezing while trying to bring up the cook... menu, It's the same with cook with sim as it still brings up the menu, I found though the game would snap back in and load it up for me if I just click anywhere.

Not sure what brings this about as there are plenty of other times where I can bring up the menu just fine, and others where it happens every time.

It also let me save and exit still so I did that.

Better than the game crashing. Crashing is worse than the lag and the game freezing.

That's another weird thing for me, in a good way, I have the settings on ultra and the game's running smoothly, but I'm on a complete potato otherwise.
