There are some mods too.
Seeing as you are on PC you will want to look into mods. MCCC is almost obligatory, but there are avast amount of other mods.
ED and if you like the family game play on Parenthood, you will definately want Growing Together. But wait until its on sale. Never buy Sims DLC at full price, it isnt worth it.
They're really just more "stuff".
The game really benefits from using gameplay mods as well, which will be enough to fill your game up with weird things to do.
Back then i went for MCCC as my first mod and Get together as my first DLC, that added well over 1,300 hours of gameplay.
so yeah, give it a try, it might work for you or might not either way the game is free 2 play and it will always be there if you want to play it now or some other point.
