Also, Get to Work was not one of my first packs, but I did get it eventually despite the mixed reviews and so far I do not regret buying it. Also, if the cost of packs are currently an issue for you another option is to just simply wait for another discount on Steam, but you would need to know the exact timing for when it the discount expected again or else you might miss out on it. I was also debating about Island Living too, but I did eventually get that expansion pack; although, it was not because of the mermaids. It was for various other reasons besides only just the mermaids that I got this pack that I possibly might rarely if ever use. The biggest problem with mermaids on The Sims 4 is that while they might have an interesting story behind them they really do not do that much either making them not that much different from normal human sims besides maybe spending more time in the water than the average human sim.
Sims 5 DLC Guaranteed:
Pets
Seasons
There are game breaking bugs that have existed for over 2 to 5 years, which thousands of people have reported and they have not done anything about.
Most of these bugs are related to expansions and packs. And a lot of the bugs are so severe that FEATURES of the PACKS CEASE TO FUNCTION. Like vain street quirk from get famous pack, to name one, which stops functioning altogether. The pack is 2 years old...
Also probably because these packs cost more than the actual game itself, with very little things to do.
Sure, people will keep buying these new packs that keep coming out. So I'm not talking in terms of $$$. They keep coming out with these packs with more problems for the game. This is unsustainable.
I've seen development teams that are much smaller and have much smaller resources patch out bugs faster than these guys. It's sad.
I was smart and purchased seasons with a bundle first thing when getting The Sims 4 instead of purchasing them separably where it would overall cost more money than without a bundle. The Sims 4 basegame by itself is not really all that useful and especially without seasons.
Also on bugs... I know plenty of games that snag this issue. Sometimes they do not care. Other times it's a matter of "where is it" or "Yeah we fixed it we think but now this is broken". It's a computer program and who know what creeps roam around in the code.
