Appartements + Business on same lot ?
Hi I wonder if you can mix the "for rent" dlc with the new one "business and hobbies" on the same lot.

My idea is to make a little tower with a penthouse on top with a few appartements for rent on lower floors and at the bottom floor would be for the new business mechanic.

You can make businesses out of apartments with the City Living and Eco Lifestyles DLC's.

lilsimsie made a video on twitch with running a small business in an apartment.

You can still play with residential rental if you want even with Businesses & Hobbies, but there are a number of problems associated with residential rental units.

Number 1, which I would say is the most important instead of loading screens are a few potentially "game breaking" bugs that have been mentioned a lot that still need fixing.

Number 2, if you own every world like I do or own most worlds you might have to play on a saved game for a long time before needing to rely upon residential rental buildings.

Number 3, which includes myself and probably many others is that I do not necessarily want all of my game play save files to be focused mainly on residential rental lots.

Number 4, residential rental lots conflicts with not only small businesses (which can merge a home with small business), but also with haunted residential lots as well from Paranormal and normal apartments from San Myshuno and Evergreen Harbor that are not "penthouses". It also potentially conflicts with Horse Ranch as well since you would need enough land for horses, possibly farm animals (goats, sheep, cows, llamas, and/or chickens with the last three mentioned are from Cottage Living), and residential rental on one lot.

Number 5, the 100 baby challenge might be a good reason to use residential rental units from a saved game assuming that someone plays this challenge on short lifespan instead of normal and can age up children early if the minimum requirements before aging up are met such as for example children and teens must be A students before they are allowed to age up, but the 100 baby challenge is normally long and tedious where not everyone necessarily wants to do that contrary to Lilsimsie and other Sims 4 player streamers on YouTube.

Is it the same old game breaking bug that they never fixed? Or is it a new one conflicting with new DLC?

So it works fine as long as you dont mix these kind of lots or do you have no control over that ?
