Direct X11 is now the default setting
Apparently, Direct X11 is now the default setting on The SIms 4 and it is probably because of how old The SIms 4 is in addition to EA wanting there to be less lag, crashes, and shorter loading screens to make it more convenient for players. Only problem is that DirectX11 being the default setting before you can make it switch back to DirectX9 I believe was a mistake, because while I have DirectX12 on my computer (because my computer is supposed to be a "gaming computer") not everyone has Direct X11 or Direct X12 on their computer. Their could be potential issues with The SIms 4 for anyone that does not have Direct X11 or Direct X12, because Direct X11 is apparently the default setting instead of Direct X9. If you do not know what Direct X version you are using just simply type in "DXDIAG" in the search menu to find out what Direct X version your computer is currently using.

What was EA thinking when doing this? Trying to force everyone who does not have Direct X11 to get Direct X11 or Direct X12 in order to play this game? I currently own Direct X12, but not everyone has Direct X11 or Direct X12. I personally think that Direct X9 should have stayed the default setting, but you have the option to switch over to Direct X11 if your computer meets up with that requirement for better performance on The Sims 4 that makes it run more smoothly.

Thank you. I am not having this issue for myself personally because as mentioned earlier I use Direct X12, but it will be for some people. They should not be required to switch over to Direct x11 just because they do not have Direct x11 or Direct x12 and there should be a way to work around this problem.
