if your sims outfits are being changed then only thing i can think of is a mod
Very often, my unplayed Sims will show up during some event or other (like a festival in San Myshuno) wearing clothes I never, ever assigned to them. It's probably an autonomy thing.
Yeah, same here, I think its hard coded this way as the game uses available households to populate the different areas. If there is a themed event going on, the game makes those sims change the outfit.
If there is a way to stop it, I would love to know it too.
Festivals- if you have City Living- can cause households to wear unplanned outfits. If you have holidays in your game that can also be an issue (for example, if I am playing a household with Winterfest, any Sim which walks past the lot will switch into some kind of Santa outfit).

I use this mod and it works beautifully, I'll attest. I'm not sure if it's been updated for Lovestruck as I don't own the EP. If you do give the mod a test and still see LS costumes, then it's probably yet to be updated for that EP. I can't be sure of catfish and the likes, but it should at least rid your worlds of hot dogs. ;))
