The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Discover University
I am playing this DLC again. I've not played it in years. I forgot why I don't play it but now, oh Gawd... it's coming back to me - this DLC is crap. Who did the math on this thing and decided it was playable? Servos and bots are a nightmare. Game play is slow. Sims 3 university was far, far better. Some say the secret societies are interesting, but I see no signs of that and to play you shouldn't need to get a YT video and follow closely.
Is there a mod where you can just enter numbers and buy 100s of the parts needed to build bots and servos? And a mod to stop the gag where it shocks your sim and he can't build bots anymore? Shocks are set WAY too frequent to be any fun. Yes, you got shocked in sims 3 when building plumbots too, but you could shower and get back to bot building. Not this "game".
Loved Into the Future with Plumbots (not Simbots, simbots are animated trash cans). Loved Sims 3 "university" and played the heck out of that. Why can't new EA learn from old EA?

Secret society is only at Britechester?
No, it's at Foxbury, too.

As for the personal inventory: You have to put things in there before your Sim leaves for college and goes to live on campus. With my first college Sim, I made the mistake of not putting her computer in her inventory, and buying one on campus is ridiculously expensive. You can also buy mini-fridges there, and I really recommend doing that because for some mysterious reason, your room mates can cook up some nice meals. It doesn't make any sense, but then, it's EA 😁

My second college Sim lived in the Britechester dorm, and the first thing I did for her was secure the only single room, then made sure the door was locked for everybody except her so the others wouldn't barge in and use her computer 😁

Question is a little confusing, because the world is called "Britechester". They will probably not show up outside of the same world as Britechester, but Foxbury is included in this world.

So where do buy mini frig and a PC ?
I must be doing it wrong to cause I could not do my computer. I am sure I was if others are able to do that
Buy those at the kiosk on campus. Not much choice with the minifridge, but you can get a laptop a lot cheaper off campus.

I hate discover university. I have 2 sim game weeks invested and 2 more towards a degree, and it's the same lame game play over and over...

Why torture your sims for four weeks?

https://modthesims.info/d/636642/faster-university-graduation.html

The 4 credits option will get your sim a degree in a week (if you enroll in 4 classes)
If you return for a second degree, 4 credits are already applied so the modder recommends switching to the 8 credits option which will still require only 4 more credits (1 week).

I'm not sure what's happening with Secret Society. Do you have MCCC set to pull sims only from your Library, maybe? Oftentimes, that ends up failing to fill some necessary rolls. You could try disabling it until you have members.

Yeah.... is that bad.

Oh. So, that's what those last exceptions are on about.
If I make more sims in my library to select from, can I still use it? Randomly generated sims are kinda .... In sims 3 the word was "pudding".

Apologies for the typo: necessary *roles, not rolls (although that is practically what RNG does, ha!).
It's still pudding. Sims 3 sims are always pudding. That's the only thing I can't bear about TS3..the look of its sims.

Okay..yeah, it may help to add more sims (a lot more) to your gallery and tag them #mccc_include. Uni requires a massive number of RNGs, from barflies, spirit squad members, e-sport players, even teen pigeons (teens which stalk the uni looking to pester your sims until they 'feed' their social), and more..so many more.
If for whatever reason adding more includes to your Library doesn't work. You can always just turn that off momentarily, then delete your 'fugs' after your sim has completed uni. It doesn't seem to matter if you update them in CAS to look less 'fuggy'. The game seems to love generating new ones..because, of course.
