Dark Side of inZOI plus video

In my first comment below I am sharing a 38 minute video from a lesser known youtuber with only 131 subscribers (but with 2.9k views) and currently lives in Europe where she describes herself as not a hater and the video is perhaps controversial, but voices concerns about inZOI. I was a slightly interested in inZOI at one point even though I do meet up with its minimum requirements on my PC, but now I am not so sure, I always have been skeptical of inZOI even before I watched this video, inZOI is not necessarily better than The SIms 3 and The Sims 4 but just different at least in my personal opinion, and inZOI is not necessarily without controversy even if its basegame might seem like it is better than basegame from The Sims 4 and possibly even basegame from The Sims 3. This includes Generative AI, data collection, privacy concerns, brief mentioning of millions of jobs lost to AI, ethical concerns, Krafton being a billion dollar industry similar to EA (meaning they are not indie contrary to Paralives and Stardew Valley), and etc...

I do not expect everyone to agree with the video and many people will probably still play inZOI regardless, but I do not think that inZOI is necessarily going to replace/kill Sims games made by EA because I do not believe that is going to happen. I am aware that there is a Steam discussion on the inZOI forum that is separate from The SIms 4, but I thought it would be more appropriate to post this here. Mainly because I am still interested in playing The SIms 4 sometimes, but not really interested that much with playing inZOI. I could understand why some people are excited about Paralives, but not really with inZOI.

if you dont want the game dont buy it by all means stick with the sims no one is gonna make you play inzoi over the sims they both steal your data im gonna play inzoi when it comes out i have been waiting for a life sim with better graphics then gta v people should be thanking krafton now the sims will finally have some competition and EA might start treating the sims players better maybe they will start improving the sims instead of being cheap lazy and complacent maybe now the sims gurus will get off their asses and doing ♥♥♥♥ instead of releasing halfassed DLC for the game thats buggy every quarter of the year

Ironically, I have spent more time playing The SIms 4 than The Sims 3 even though I started playing The SIms 3 before The Sims 4 and even with bugs from The SIms 4 that I am also noticing, but The Sims 3 has similar similar problems to The Sims 4 if not worse (such as file corruption, needing to delete caches frequently, error codes preventing me from saving, crashes, issues with the world editor from The Sims 3, The Sims 3 does not seem to work as good when I own every expansion pack, returning back from university becomes unplayable without using NRAAs mod, more recently I could not play The Sims 3 without it being included on EA App due to an error, and etc...) and especially after I switched from Windows 10 to Windows 11. The game inZOI is open world and so was The Sims 3, but I do respect your opinion. Like I mentioned earlier her video might be controversial and I would not expect everyone to agree.

Really, this is nothing which is new. You can almost read all of this in their Term of Service. In the end people don’t care about AI. They only care about AI if they are affected and start losing their work because of AI, get their art stolen from AI and more.

In the end we will see how all this goes with InZOI after if it is released. I don’t blame Krafton that they use AI, they are not different as any other company. Companies always search for ways to save money, and most the time the people suffers from it. Most customer don’t care as long they are on the other side.

I actually don’t care if games use generative ai i don’t understand why people let it bother them so much thats why i didn’t watch i knew it was gonna be some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

This is your right, and I understand both parties. I think AI could bring so much potential in everybody’s live but the same time it can cause so much harm (Just look in AI deepfake). I really don’t know how exactly this all will end but I am sure we will need new laws for AI-content because so how it is now … this doesn’t work.
