The Inzoi problem

My spouse LOVES Sims, but recently Inzoi has been center stage in the game news media as the Sims Killer. I myself have never played one of these games primarily because the art style isn't something I ever really cared for (not that it's bad I just prefer other styles) like Inzoi. Needless to say I myself and my spouse are very interested in Inzoi and she has no plans to stop enjoying any new Sims content that releases. What are your thoughts, will you play both or will Inzoi dominate this genre?

I must admit that I am quite intrigued with InZoi, it looks great and for once I have a beast of a gaming rig so there should be no problems there. I will certainly give it a look see.

The thing is, even if you have no intentions of trying it, it could be a win win for us players. For too long there has been no other life simulator that has come close to matching The Sims.
If InZoi comes close to matching what it says it will be then The Sims franchise will have some serious competition. Healthy competition can only be good for us.
All we can do is sit back and wait and see what happens. This time next year, we may all be raving about this brind new and brilliant new kid on the block, or we could all be chuckling quietly whenever anybody says "Oh, remember all of the fuss about InZoi" and people reply along the lines of "InZoi? What's that, when it is at home."

Some people just search for conflict instead of having genuine discussion about the genre, I think the genre as a whole has a very bright future now that real competition exist

Nah, is not conflict. People just generally don’t like it that people go in another discuss board which is specific for a game and created there a post about another game. This is as I would go to InZOI and ask if they are hyped for Simulator game ABC. Your question would be more suit on InZOI Steam-discuss and there you would get like more the answer which you hope for it. (Most people hope for confirmation of their opinion)

I would recommend to visit their discord to find people which are really hyped/interested in this game.

Nah, is not conflict. People just generally don’t like it that people go in another discuss board which is specific for a game and created there a post about another game. Besides discord the game inZOI already has their own forum on Steam, because I recently checked. This inZOI game is perhaps in some what ways similar to what The SIms 3 could have been (such as for example including more from basegame than what The Sims 3 originally had, not limited to only just rabbit holes similar to The Sims 4 and inZOI at community lots and when going to work, and designed for newer computers instead of older) if inZOI were to come out before The SIms 3 instead of it being the other way around, but inZOI has its own controversies as well such as concerns about micro transactions (because even if inZOI basegame appears to be have more than The Sims 4 basegame besides Create-a-Zoi (CaZ) and maybe build mode micro transactions cannot be ruled out entirely), too much reliance upon AI (mainly because of the industry wanting to save money), possibly needing an expensive computer or at the very least might need help in replacing parts from computer, not liking the graphics, and etc...

Yes. The reason why we are in a behavioral sink is because people just do anything they can get away with. No one follows the rules or the law unless they get banned/arrested for it.
Oh well... And why we can't have nice things like a forum about the sims.

I've heard something about preview players being given brand-new PCs to play Inzoi. Makes me concerned that I won't be able to play it on my PC, which is bit by bit becoming outdated.

Overall, I'm looking at Paralives for future Sims-like gaming. Though I've also been keeping an eye on Vivaland.

Yeah, Steam created the trolling problem with their goofy award system. It's why there are so many clown farmers, but you do have a dedicated forum for the Sims. One without all the trolling and is strictly moderated. You'd probably love it.

Highly unlikely, but that was a mean comment as well. Many people like The Sims 4 if not love it at least when it comes to basegame which is free. Some people who play The SIms 4 are probably not going to play inZOI right away when it first comes out officially because of its system requirements and might take a while before they decide to play this game because of not meeting up with its minimum requirements in order to play this game. Also, even if inZOI were to kill The SIms 4 that is not necessarily a good thing, because would mean less competition with inZOI besides Paralives but Paralives I think has a smaller budget because they are not as wealthy in comparison to the bigger gaming industries such as EA and the industry making inZOI. Paralives would not be able to compete as much with inZOI as The SIms 4 despite the fact that more people seem to be excited about Paralives than inZOI or Project Rene.

Inzoi got open world, cars that you can actually drive, etc.... Sims 4... got nothing, if you don't pay a premium.

If they do not allow people to play the way they want and have same sex they will loose players as the fact is this is a new world in reality and people have a right to live the way they want in life and game as long as they are not harming others. I am a not a young spring chick anymore far from it but I feel you need to learn that everyone is and individual with their own taste and needs and desires. I don't push mine off on anyone and don't want them to me but I accept them for them. We have to learn it may not be for us but we should not think another evil just because they are different. /shrug. if they start with holding things that people want they will no be successful.

I sometimes think how Sims 4 could be better for gay, lesbian and straight play, but implementing it would be tedious and once you throw in gender fluid and other options, it becomes impossible so they just run with diversity is everyone being exactly the same.

I was an avid Sims player for several years, but they keep pushing out and charging for 'expansion packs' that break the game, or get fans hyped up just for the update or expansion to be unplayable due to bugs, crashes, and stupid stuff that should have been fixed before release, or at least before the next expansion pack/stuff pack etc. After the For Rent expansion, I officially gave up on Sims 4, It is unplayable and a complete disgrace, and to charge for crap that doesn't even work or play as intended, is a scam in my opinion. The school update really put a bad taste in my mouth with all the bugs and incompatibilities, and then For Rent came out, and it really messed up what it's supposed "intention" was, it doesn't work with or without mods, it is bugged to crap and EA hasn't fixed it to date, despite knowing about several problems. They clearly want money and only money, and they have definitely lost me as a fan and supporter
