The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Reminder to run the EA App INSTALLER.
Today my game didn't launch.
So, once again I ran the EA App INSTALLER, not the EA App
EA app installer finds the EA app is already installed and offers to repair, I select that and now I'm playing.
This has worked for me about half a dozen times.
Hope this helps.

it's the little program that installs the EA App. Filename is EAAppInstaller.exe

That's a good fix that works for me most of the time, too. And I verify all files at least once per week on Steam.

I've just run into that problem too, but the EAAppinstaller doesnt exist on my laptop somehow. I've restarted it and tried starting the rest of the EA folder (with app recovery, updater - none are launching) would anyone have a suggestion how to find the installer or fix the launching?

Download EA App here:
https://www.ea.com/ea-app

Go into your downloads folder, [computer name] > downloads
There you should find an orange EA icon which is an executable application. That's the EA App Installer.

its the launcher, helps give your game and account an ID needed to create, store and share sims and homes.

well sorry.
I get frustrated because there are a number of different problems that can prevent game start up, and most of these thread have no information at all about how the game doesn't start.
Either Steam-to-EA-App link, EA App needs update or shut down, or there is a problem with the Sims 4 directory in your home account; the last one can happen because you have a mod or tray file that no longer is compatible with the updated game, or one of the lock files says the game is running when it isn't, a bad save, etc.

i litterally started a thread about it and put all the info about what i've done. but nobody answered. The only time i get answers is when i comment on other threads.
