expansion packs not showing after update

Why does it say my saves require expansion packs I already have?

The SIms 4 is updating something right now I see on Steam. I am hoping this resolves the issue. Losing all dlc is a big deal and definitely EA's fault. I do not know how long this is supposed to take, but it says 3% completed right now.

Doing the same, and just noticed that the DLC missing are only the ones I got through Steam. The ones I got through the EA App are working properly. Oh well, a long download ahead...

i only had half of my DLC not working and i got them all through steam.

The update that just dropped has fixed the issue for me, all my dlc's are back.

They fixed it finally, it was broken for a bit but a second download finally set in and the game is working now.

What was the first update supposed to be? Bug fixes? Someone please tell me. (Edit) It is probably in reference towards this laundry list from The Sims website, but why it requires a second update is strange to me. https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/laundry-list-september-3rd-2024

Yeah I reinstalled and then during the reinstall there was an update and now it seems fixed. Yay!

EA has some explaining to do as to why a second update is needed after the first one. I gave Daniel Perkins a deep thoughts award, because it goes deeper than this. Why did the first update disable all dlc? It just wastes everyone time waiting for second update and makes people upset and confused at the same time.

Either you clear cache or wait for second update to complete. I think that either one should work.

Yep, seems to be fixed after the second update, though I now question why the first update that caused this mess was needed in the first place~

THIS WORKED! Super annoying we have to do it, but it does work
