Can you ressurect a sim from being a ghost?
I tried to google things and it sounds really complicated. Is there a way a can do some cheats to get them back to life or is it just impossible? :( A character i like died, and i didnt get out of the game before i saved

ambrosia

or cheats/mods those work too

also try to keep a copy of your favorite sims saved to your libray so when an oopsie moment happens you can just plop a new copy of them into the game again

Load a save from before they died. I do it all the time :RockSign:

if you find making ambrosia is a hassle you might also find ambrosia if you search "ambrosia" from the gallery where other people share their builds/sims...which is "technically" cheating. ;)

YES! you can make ambrosia at level 10 cooking and Level 10 gormet Cooking
Spellcasters can also revive unalived sims as well if the have the dedeathify spell!

A Spell Caster with Dedeathify can bring them back to life. I do it all the time with these silly ghost DJ's showing up at night clubs 😁

Before the Death DLC, the easist way was to make a forced friendship potion, use it on the ghost, invite the ghost to a played household, then use the dedeathify spell.
Why get them in your household? Because if you just de-deathify them they get a body and then are culled from the game. Had that problem when I found that Vatore vampire's tomb stone. What's the point? I guess that is the point, the game is easier to code that way.
Get them into your household, then split them back off to where they belong.

I use the "Urn Binding and Summoning" mod. It adds an Urn to your decorations that has a "Bind" feature that, when selected, shows you a list of all the Ghost Sims. You can also bind living Sims to it as well, but I only ever use it for Ghosts. I'm unsure if the default Urn has an on-demand summon feature, but a spellcaster can use Necrocall on it to immediately summon the Ghost Sim. Other than the binding feature it acts as the default Urn for whoever is bound to it, even changing design based on whether it's indoors or outside (turning to a gravestone) or altering design based on things such as the Sim being a Vampire.

Given this acts as the Sims default Urn they will occasionally spawn on the lot, so even if you can't Necrocall they will eventually pop up and can be invited to the house so they don't despawn or you can revive them using the various methods available. If you happen to be the aforementioned Spellcaster you can use the spell "Dedeathify" to bring them back to life, though there are plenty of alternatives based on which DLC you have.

Personally, I use the mod to make my Vampires "Haunted Church" lot seem more authentic by having a bunch of ghosts roaming around, though they mostly just loiter, eat my food and break my toilet. :/

You don't really need any mods for this. If have the Incredibly Friendly trait you can befriend them right after resurrecting them and they should not be culled right away. They will just stay as an out of world sim, then you can go to the world view and put them in a house or move them into yours.

This. Cant say about Curseforge as I do not use it at all. But lots of good advice here too, like trying to load an older save!

I use the MCCC mod by deaderpool too. Download it and put it in your mods folder in your game files! Then you just click on your sim, click maintain sim, and bring your sim instantly back to life.
