Stuck as ghosts

I decided to choose how me and my boyfriend died as sims, I load into the game and we're still ghosts.. I tried everything, even going back and deleting the way how we die but it's just stuck like that and I can't find out how to turn it off. I've been extremely frustrated because I spent a good hour or two creating our household just for everyone to be ghosts. Anyone dealt with this?

use testingcheatsenabledtrue then cas.fulleditmode shift click the sims and click edit in CAS
then remove the ghost state.
alternatively if you wish to use mods you can use MCCC to edit them and remove it
also you can bring them back to life with it without using CAS
