The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Why can't they just properly update things?
I don't understand why with each update there has to be done so much work, cause now i have to go through all my 600 mods or more to find ones that need to be updated. Since my game has completely broken, and I don't have the time or energy to do this. The sims is my after school game I play to distress a bit put this is not calming at all. If anyone has any better ideas or ways to fix broken mods that won't take that long please let me know! Because i thought it was going to be a small update and did not remove all my mods before, but no it's a big one someone please help me!!

Because EA and their team do not know how to correctly pretest there product and take care of it before they get the money they charge for it and release a very bug infested product which makes their players unhappy but they don't care they just want the money not quality products. It is done with all of them. I believe they are trying to sabotage their own game.
They are not responsible for us using mods/cc and they tell us just that with the mod list pop up window.

How could you ask them to know all mods' code ???

If you add mod, the most basic thing is to NOT update your game with them. Just don't update it at all. You can play with a not-update version.
If you want update your game, you need to take off your mods but some mods will break game's code not matter what so your game will be unable to be correctly update.

Normally, you need to uninstall completely your game with revo free version,
then install with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ update,
then install your mods with the good version of them for the game updated.
But you need to know that your save will be not work with the new version, so old player, like me, advice to go this if you want to restart the game, if not, just don't update.

This^^^
It's exactly the same thing as with Skyrim SE. Bethesda have game updates as well. They can't be expected to test all mods created by users every time there's a game update.
mods!
they break their stuffs many times, and mods helped fixed those!

chip in only when they can STOP breaking their product, or FIX their own zhits in ACCEPTABLE and PROFESSIONAL terms.

How could they test it with the millions of mods and CC out there? I think in the last 5 updates I had ONE mod that was causing CAS not to load. After it was updated, everything else worked just fine.

The better exceptions mod is good for checking for broken/outdated mods.

But as others have mentioned EA is not responsible for updating mods and/or making sure they work with EA updates.

Don't bother all, he just updated and cleared his profil for trolling.

Since I am one of the few that does not use mods my comment was not about mods and I don't comment if they say they have mods I must have missed the original asking about mods. I have seen post repeatedly on the fact that when game has update mods get broken and that falls on modders not the game since they don't support mods and make that clear. The one time when I was just starting I tried mods and every update and dlc when I logged in had turned my mods off and when they updated I was still having issues so I just gave up using them. I know I could have a lot more fun if I did but just spend so much time waiting on the mods to get fixed from what the devs do with updates and crappy DLC that are full of bugs .
From what I gather from those that use mods the modders once they get their mods working again seems to help the game. Maybe EA should hire them to do what their people can't

It because the employees aren't really computer professionals, the ultra-greed company only care about money, and thus they just hired political activists instead like Dani Lalonders.

even without mods, they still can't properly update the things.

If that was the case, then almost everyone would be experiencing the same issues. My game runs well, and has done through the last several updates. In only one case, an out-of-date mod was the problem.

As a modder for another game, and an avid user of mods.

That’s way she goes(when you mod).

Sucks after large updates, but often it is a hurry up and wait, or bite the bullet and play vanilla till least know bulk are updated and troubleshooting the list won’t be such a hassle.

For what it’s worth I’ll share my own approach too when in your shoes. One way that helps is to start by breaking the list in half. This can save chasing your tail when it might be one mod causing an issue. If so, further break down the suspect block into smaller groups until you’ve isolated the culprits.

Next, start off with smaller groups (50 at a time or something) until identified all the bad “clusters”. Last, say f it and disable them all, play vanilla and rebuild the mod list in a few weeks knowing I barely used or saw half of the mods anyways.
