also welcome to the world of modding for the sims 4 once you start its difficult to stop
The time which you need to create this folder for yourself and add resource.cfg, is a thing from the past. Modding in Sims 4 got easy.
Game should already have that Mods folder and resource.cfg file inside at that location.
It's all under the SteamLibrary HDD folder.
This is what the folder line looks like.
D:\SteamLibrary HDD\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Mods

Go to step 2
As in, the sims 4 doesn't exist under that file.
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\
Hopefully I can get this stuff to work now.
