Sims 4 stuck on Pause

My sims 4 game is stuck on pause and the save game and manage world button is grey. I have tried everything from deleting mods to creating a new save file and nothing has fixed the issue. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this it would be very much appreciated

Have you tried repairing Sims 4 (either through steam files verification or through the ea app).

I had something similar a couple of times. All I did was quit the game and load a previous save instead of pushing the resume button on the main menu and it worked for me.

have you tried reinstalling sims 4?

I have tried reinstalling and have verified my files on steam and neither have worked. My progress on this save file is not one id like to lose but i am running out of solutions :[
