DLC from EA not working?

I originally got TS4 on origin (EA app) and bought a lot of dlc there, i just now downloaded ts4 on steam and logged in, my save(s) are there but not any of the dlc. Is there something i need to do to use the dlcs on the steam version?

EA DLC should work fine. But EA-purchased DLC won't be visible in the Steam app. Only Steam-purchased DLC will show. However, both EA and Steam-purchased DLC will show in the EA app.

so i cant use my ea bought dlc on the steam version of ts4?

I have the same problem. I've two DLC s from EA. But if i start the Game it shows me that the DLCs arent installed (on Steam) . In the EA app it shows me that all DLCs are installed.
I alredy reinstalled the Game on both apps but it doesnt helped me.

Its the same for me but with wayyy more dlcs, also in ts4 when i launch it from steam it says that i own them, kinda weird

You need to uninstall Sims 4 from EA app and install it ONLY from Steam. EA app will get confused if you have it installed twice and wont install your EA packs in the right folder.

Once you install Sims 4 through Steam, you can download any packs you own in the EA App directly from the EA App and they'll combine with the Steam install.
Do note that they wont show up as being owned on steam, but they will show in your game.

When you launch Sims 4 on steam if the packs you purchased on the EA app are still showing a "uninstalled" error.

No, I'm saying that you CAN. It should work just fine. But because you bought the DLC from EA - and not Steam - it's logical that it won't be visible on Steam. I have the Steam version of the game, and I use a mix of EA and Steam-purchased DLC. As miamew3 has said, you must uninstall the EA version of the game first.

Be sure to manually delete all folders in Games as well as the files in "Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4". The uninstall doesn't remove everything. However, I would make copies of your Saves and Tray folders. That way, you won't lose game progress or any of your Sims' Households.

I recently moved from the EA app to Steam (ran into a bug on the EA app saying that the game straight-up wasn't avaliable for me there anymore), and I'm glad I didn't run into this issue. Probably because I uninstalled the EA App version of the game first

I have the same problem, bought almost everything from steam but a few extra from EA, and now I cannot see the 'world' in game, although is written I own everything
