You’re welcome: please post there the same statement. I think is 10.000 or something for all DLC’s.
When there are a 100 more threads, people should take the hint. i have Never seen something like this in my life. And i have been playing for a long long long time. 800 eur, with even 30% off + a subscription.... it's borderline criminal. Especially for a 10 year old game. This stuff should be in the bargain bin by now.
Part of the reason why the dlc costs so much is because The Sims 4 basegame used to cost $40 or even $50 before it became free to play. It might be even worse with Project Rene if it is free to play even to begin with meaning overall more expensive dlc and more micro transactions than The SIms 4. At best EA with The Sims 4 would probably not have lowered the full price with expansion packs (as opposed to discounts) lower than $30 (plus taxes), $15 with gamepacks (plus taxes), $7.50 with stuffpacks (plus taxes), and $4 (or in other words $3.99 and plus taxes) with kit packs. It would still cost a lot of money with all dlc packs combined (although some people may not have enough disk storage space on computer even if getting all dlc was not an issue meaning that person might have to switch from PC to external hard drive for more disk space), but a little more reasonable in price despite the fact that people donot have to buy all dlc, do not have to buy it all at once, and despite the fact EA has been making The SIms 4 dlc for almost 10 years.
Valar dohaeris...
What sub are you talking about? TS4 doesn't have a monthly sub, it's just the DLC.
Also, why would the game be in the bargain bin when it's still massively popular? That would be financially idiotic of EA, or literally anyone. You don't sell your golden goose when it's still laying eggs.
You don't have to buy all the DLC and you don't have to buy them all at once. If you started buying the DLC in 2015 and have played the game for over 11,000 hours its not actually that bad of a deal.
Wait for a sale and hunt for bundles.
nothing new here, just basic EA greed at work
and why wouldn't they?? plenty of sycophants who fork over the dough without question.
just get TS 2 or 3 for a few bucks.. better games anyways
yeah like that is gonna help :P EA is known for ignoring their customers and just push even further acros the long since passed border of acceptable. there is only one way to reason with corporate sharks like EA and that is to boycot them and stop giving them what they want: money
it would garner them some positive reputation for once but yeah :P since EA never cared about their image at all it wouldn't make sense to tone down the greed if enough sycophants let them get away with this and keep buying these overpriced packs ^_^ i also wouldn't do it if i was as greedy and immoral as your average EA executive
You don't like it very much and shouldn't pay for all the available additional content. Instead, you should invest your money into some game (or some other hobby than gaming) you actually like.
You've played this game more than 1000 hours:
It's definitely worth it.
You've just found this game and like it very much:
Play couple years, get couple of DLCs. Then get Sims 5, play it for 2000 hours and get all the possible additional content (including pre-purchase bonuses) for it.
Disclaimer:
You think 1000 hours is lot? I have played ETS2 more than 3000 hours in recent years.
At least TS2 is free since it's abandonware now... wonder how long before TS3 is too.
I only have 600 hours clocked since late December. Let's say 100 hours a month. That's 3+ hours a day on average.
I think if you average at least 8 hours a week when you have other obligations, you can safely say you like a thing.
