Breastfeeding Vampire.

I'm a little loath to post this as I got the Sim from the exchange and it's not really mine, but she's an Adult vampire who had a baby.

But when I try and set to prefers breast feeding, it's a no. So far, she's the only caregiver and I think she should be able to breast feed her own child.
Why doesn't this work? Is it because the baby's mom is an undead grandmaster vampire?

The only thing I can think of, is that the game isn't registering them as a parent (I think natural parent is what it would need to be, not just caregiver, even if that's the wording). Was the baby born in game or did they come with her?
If the kid was born in your save, then I really don't get it. I'm pretty sure I've even been able to breastfeed my science babies.
Reddit would also have me believe that being a vampire doesn't stop you from breastfeeding, which I was pretty sure of, but it's been a hot minute since I've had a vampire with kids (got some cute little woofs though).

Baby was just born. Vampire was the parent.
