Logical is better just purchase directly from EA, so you only need to run 1 launcher, not two. I own all from Steam, but I still hope that they get rid of this launcher in the future. Is just an unnecessary step for me which can causes issue for people.
I have no problem for playing Sims4 (I played since the 1) on steam. And I prefer the steam app than EA in visual and easy mind.
If you buy from steam, they will get a cut instead.
Yes, you can buy and use EA DLC with Steam. I have a mix of both EA and Steam DLC. I have no issues.
How does one configure this? I only have base game on steam so far. I think the accounts are linked. Thank you again for your reply.
You don't need to configure anything. Once you set everything up to buy DLC from the EA app (payment etc.), it would be automatically downloaded once purchased. However, any DLC you buy from EA will ONLY appear in the EA app. It won't show in Steam. But, ALL DLC (both Steam and EA-purchased) will show in the EA app. Hope that made sense.
