Blooming Rooms Kit - Free on EA App

Not sure if Steam will get access to the freebie, but the EA App finally has the Blooming Rooms Kit up for free. If you don't have it, may as well grab it since it might only last a week or two.

I second that. It's a really nice kit, I use it all the time whenever I start decorating a new household or build something new.

I am not seeing it as free but since I do all through Steam even if I got it I would still have to get it on Steam :(

The kit isn't listed on the start page but if you scroll through the kits, the price is greyed out or rather given as 0,00 with the additional information that it's a 100 % discount. You should be able to get the kit without any issues, I mean, you do have to use the EA app anyway.

Does it cause any issues if you get it via the EA app when everything else has been purchased via Steam? With how glitchy a lot of these things have gotten, I'm not sure I want to chance it

I have half my DLC through EA and half through Steam.
So long as you install base game through steam, link your steam account in the EA app, you are all good to go.

Does anyone else have this problem?. If I try to order a kit (or whatever) from within the game, the order forms just shakes an shivers and is unusable (I even tried it without mods). I finally ordered Blooming Rooms from the ea menu, and it just downloaded without even asking for payment details. What is the point of that shopping basket thing within the game if you can't use it?.

I have honestly never tried to purchase from within the game, so i don't know how broken things normally might be. However, I would not be surprised if the EA App is all kinds of messed up at the moment because they just finished rolling it out to all Mac users. So... I'm expecting all kinds of problem on top of the usual level of wonky problems.

Yes. So as long as base game is installed through Steam, it should be fine. Things will not work if base is installed through EA though. You'll only see EA purchased DLC and not all.

Well, you have an EA account, so you can get it on EA. It'll still let you use the kit while playing on steam, even if you get it one EA (But be warned, if you play on EA your steam packs will not work). This is because when you play TS4 through steam, EA has to check to make sure the steam key is valid (AKA You aren't pirating it), and while doing so, it checks to see if you have any DLCs. But, if you have the DLCs on the EA app, it has to work anyway, as the game runs using the EA app whether or not you buy it off of EA.

In summary, Sure ya can, friend, just go to the EA app, download it at a crisp 100% off, and play like normal from Steam

Just to note, if you have TS4 installed through Steam and your accounts are linked, you shouldn't be able to play from the EA App. Granted, I have not tried to launch game while Steam wasn't running. If I try to play from the EA App it automatically launches the game through Steam.
