I believe, if Sims 5 is released it would be disappointing you all. Considering how severely messed up The Sims 4 is..
look how messy, broken, unstable, and buggy TS4 is. I believe they'll do the same mistake on TS5 especially when they 'go rush' with reason whatsoever.
Because the programing team on EA / Maxis office are sooo unprofessionals, they're frckin lazy, and too much yapping about "identity" & "diversity" on twitter/X instead of doing works.
The very latest Project Rene is going to come out is probably no later than 2027, but I would be surprised by this actually and not expecting it to come out that late especially with leaks already coming out about Project Rene which is why I am still predicting 2026 or late 2025 instead of 2027. This is of course assuming that EA is willing to take their time to actually make this game good upon release rather than them worrying about competition. EA I think should not hate competition and not be worried about it either. but if Project Rene were to be rushed that could potentially be a red flag that they hate competition and perhaps worry about competition as well despite EA being a billion dollar industry. For such a large industry I think they should care more about the quality of basegame than rushing deadlines for release and discussing so much about identity" & "diversity as mentioned earlier by DP Bowie. At the very least I am expecting color wheel, swimming pool, basement, a map that actually looks good upon release (contrary to The Sims 4 when it first came out that had an ugly grey color to it originally), all life stages (except for maybe infant/preteen lifestage that could potentially be added later contrary to toddlers), other builds besides only just "apartments", possibly neighborhood stories (which would make it feel less like a sandbox game especially on single player), and seasons upon release rather than make us wait for them later.
I know many people are hoping that Project Rene would have combined the pros of TS4 (nice aesthetic, mod-friendly) and the pros of TS3 (colour wheel, cars, open world system, etc)
I think that we will find out eventually if Project Rene is going to be open world or not since they have not told us yet and possibly we might find out officially even before it comes out, but I do not think that we are going to find out until after we find out what the game is going to officially be called first. Only problem is that because this game was designed for being included on mobile in addition to PC I have some doubts about it being open world or even "semi open world". Having both open world and including the option for multiplayer for basegame (instead of requiring a subscription fee for multiplayer which would make it "not basegame") would be nice, but if I am not mistaken Project Rene was specifically labeled as "Free to Enter" and not "Free to Play". This leads me under the impression that only singleplayer is free but not the multiplayer part of it and/or basegame of single player will be free but will also return back the store at the same time that previous SIms games had before The Sims 4. If Project Rene ends up having a store just like The Sims 3 I am worried about that because I permanently lost everything I had purchased with real money on The SIms 3 store and any attempt to get that stuff back from "downloading" again even when logged in to the store always "fails" that I suspect might have been started thanks to the controversial EA App replacing Origin. Part of the reason why I am less interested in The SIms 3 than I used to is because I permanently lost everything I had purchased from its store with real money and can never get back.
I think it’s rather Steam 4 Discuss. The lack of moderation is a breed ground for trolls and co, specially for a game which have so much diversity in it. You get used to it.
however, this forum isn't the right place to talk politics, right?
