How does a game like this, that has so much to it, not have cloud save? Thanks for answering, i'll just save it to a USB stick i guess.
It says the game doesn't support Steam cloud
- Google Drive
In my opinion this is our best option. It's free and Google probably isn't going anywhere in our life time even for those of us who play The Sims 4 that are in our early teens.
- Free web hosting that has a good history like infinityfree.com
I've personally been using infinityfree for hosting test websites I'm building and sharing files I can't share elsewhere (size limits or a forum doesn't allow an image host I use for example). We can use it to store any file format, it's not required to use it to host a website.
- An external drive
I've had an SSD external drive for about 10 years now, haven't lost it.
This is lower down in my suggestions because it can be an expensive option. Decent external drives that will be enough space for saved game files can be gotten for $20 USD. Search amazon. They're easier to keep track of than USB sticks :P
Well, it's a lot of work for nothing. Having to keep overriding your own manually saved file in the cloud? Or put it on a USB stick like we're living in the stone ages of technology? Just makes it not worth playing in my opinion, only if you never uninstall this game lol.
That's work too making a flash drive do that but once it's done it's done. You wouldn't have to keep doing it. The game files would run from there.
Another thing you can do is set up a tiny little program called a batch file in notepad that will copy your saved games (and whatever else you want) to a flash drive. You'd just have to run the batch file now and then when you want to make a backup.
If you're interested in either of those options I'll be glad to share how to. Let me know.
