This is why when you do a repair, even in EA, it still runs the repair through Steam, not EA, since the game files are in Steam. If you want to use the Gamepass, you will likely have to install the EA version of the game. Sadly, this means if you have any Steam-purchased kits or DLC, they won't work on the EA version of the game. Sorry, I know nothing about Gamepass, but my guess is that's the reason things aren't working.
