The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

EA broke the game with an Event trait.
The new Practice Makes Perfect (PMP) trait breaks jungle adventures.
How? PMP gives the sim a powerful +5 focused modlet and lasts at least 2 days, and there's a +2 focused buff for momentum that goes with it for +7 focused that lasts hours.
But Jungle Adventures has these berries that only give you +3 for the various buffs like confident, romantic etc. Then you eat the berry and stand on the plate to active it and yeah... you're still got that powerful +5 focused from PMP.
So pack up and go home if you run into a plate you need to activate, unless it's "focused" it's not going to happen, not by eating the berries anyway.
The solution seems to be to just not give any sim going to Selvadada the trait, or a mod that makes the berry modelets more powerful but for a shorter time.

Also the Bodybuilder Asperation, as it requires you to be energized, and that's not going to happen with this "trait".

Cooking while inspired as well. Breaks the aspiration.

Use cheats/potions (which are cheap) if you need to for completing aspirations. Potions for example should cancel out other moodlets at least until the potion expires. Unless if assigned to a randomly generated sim (including those added from neighborhood stories involving adoption/giving birth), other households you are not playing as aging up randomly getting this trait (although, you can change their traits if you do not like them), or experimenting with this new trait I could understand why some people may not use this trait very often.

Good to know, I won't use it, then... unless it makes sense for an aspiration.

PMP is useless. It does nothing if not slow down overall skill progression. The only thing I've read is that it's useful for logic related skills and that's all. I haven't tested this, personally.

Learning seamed faster with PMP. But it is overpowering all other means to change mood. Maybe a harvest berry with a + 5 emotion for a shorter period would fix it.

The HSY High Self Esteem reward trait does pretty much the same, except forever. All of my sims grown up from children/teens are almost always in a Confident mood unless they suddenly become Inspired by their outfit styles (smh). The problem with the HSE buff is that it lasts for something like 10-12 sim hours..way too long, and it comes straight back after a brief die out. They really have no other moods any more. One of my teens couldn't even mourn his own mum's death due to that stupid HSE Confident buff. I use UI Cheats to kill it, it just comes back as priority one.

There are potions, some activities and other things which can change up priority mood but for too short a time to matter much. The only thing I can think to do, otherwise is a yoga routine. These last for quite a while but I don't recall exactly how long. Maybe 8 sim hours?? There is an energy boosting one.
