Getting Sim ID

I am having trouble getting Sim Id for horses that any part of the name is in 2 sections not all one IE: Sugar Foot Robinson the other is Pegasus Le Chien . I have tried arranging as one word does not exist. I have tried using Underscore or dash between the spaces nothing has worked. I need to remember to use no spaces when naming my animals :(. Is there something I can do to fix this? Please..

If for some reason the game can't recognise the name, I would go into CAS fulledit and just... change their names, if only briefly. Get their ID's, and then change it back.

I could never get that code to work on sims with three part names or names with non-letter characters, such as apostrophes. It's unclear why the game can't recognise them. Many of these (as example, Le Chien) belong to pre-existing sims, person or animal.

I haven't needed the code since using mods but Ani Blade's suggestion is exactly what I'd done to get sim IDs in these instances, then of course, changed their names back as they were.
