Sims 4 stuck on black screen reporting 1-11 fps

Which, y'know, holy cow that's low. But nothing else is happening? The screen is called Link2EA

Make sure your security software doesn’t block anything. The process which you call out is normally the process which connect you to EA APP and then start your game up. If nothing helps redownload EA APP manually and start it. Then try the repair option.

Oh thanks! I don't know if I have security software lol, is that something I would know if I had? How do I downlead EA APP? Do I just remove the game and reinstall, will that remove + reinstall the EA APP as well?

If you have Windows, you have at least Microsoft Defender/Firewall active. If you have your pc preconfigured purchased, you mostly have some stupid security software as example Norton preinstalled.

Ah Linux? Now, that is something totally different then. I hope somebody can you help with this, because I don’t have a clue about Linux. I only read often that EA APP and Linux don’t like each other. I am sorry that I am here useless. Maybe you should ask in Linux gaming reddit if you get no help here.

Update your video card drivers or your operating system, or some Mod may be causing conflict, try removing it
