Still EA-trouble launching the app?šŸ˜”
Are people still having trouble logging in to the EA-app? Cause I just tried and it still won’t let me. Says I don’t have an account anymore, which is not true cause I’ve had the same account since forever.

Yes I’ve tried uninstalling the EA-app, turned off my fire wall, turned it on again. Restarted my computer, even tried running it ā€œas administrator ā€œ IVE DONE IT ALL😭

Why can’t just EA acknowledge their mistakes and fix this! I just wanna play SIMS🄵😭

Are you playing via steam or EA? If you're on Steam just restart the EA app and start the game as normal- don't need to enter username or password just let the game do it for you. Works like a charm from my part

It's not EA my friend, you have a settings issue.
Have you opened the EA folder and , tried repair and or Update the EA app?
When you login to EA with user name and password, choose to always stay logged in.
It will launch when you click play on steam.
Occasionally EA will update and requires yo to log in...

Hopefully you're playing on Steam. This will likely not work if not......

First, make sure your EA Desktop and/or Origin client are up to date.

Second: Launch/open the Origin dashboard but DO NOT launch the game via Origin. Just minimize it on taskbar.

Third: Finally, just re-validate all your TS4 game files in your Steam library. This may take a while depending on how much DLC you've got. This lets Steam (and not you having to do this manually) very politely remind Origin servers your game keys are actually valid. You see, EA designed their Origin servers to not give a F@CK about any accountability to you the customer. But it HAS to do so to Steam because Steam is owned by Valve which will B**T F@CK EA with lawsuits if their servers don't properly connect to Steam in the cloud.

So once the Steam file validation process is don;e, you should be able to launch the game as normal from Steam library.

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TRYING TO LOGIN DIRECTLY TO ORIGIN BY LAUNCHING THE EA DESKTOP APP. WHY? SEE COMMENT ABOUT VALVE B**T F@CKING EA WITH LAWSUITS ABOVE.

ORIGIN SERVERS ARE TOXIC POS CLOUD TECH WHERE IT COMES TO REMEMBERING YOUR ORIGIN ACCOUNT GAME KEYS & LOGIN PROFILE. AND SO IS NOTORIOUS FOR DELETING/REMOVING YOUR GAME KEYS (ESPECIALLY IF BOUGHT DIRECT FROM EA THROUGH ORIGIN AND NOT STEAM!). SO GOOD LUCK ON GETTING YOUR ORIGIN ACCOUNT PASSWORDS TO WORK AS THAT WILL BE DELETED TOO.....

I’m sadly playing on EA.. so if I download sims on steam, will I lose all the packs I bought through EA? Or will it automatically ā€œfollowā€ me on to steam?

You won't lose the packs. If you download the base game on Steam, you'll have to link your Steam and your EA account, and every pack you ever bought will show up in the app. Note: Packs you bought through EA won't show up in your Steam account, but packs you buy through Steam will be listed in your EA account.

They (the packs) won’t show up on my steam because I bought them through EA but I will still have them in game right?

Also how does downloading Mods work with steam? In EA you just put the mods you download into the Mods file, is it the same here? With steam
Jehane May 23, 2024 @ 2:06am
Exactly - all packs will be in the game, and if you buy packs through Steam, you'll see them both on Steam and in the EA app.

No idea about the mods because I don't use any, but I think it's safe to say that they go into the mods folder as well :)

The EA app has had severe technical issues yesterday, and I've had it happen to me too that I couldn't log in. I solved this by setting a new password even though there was nothing wrong with my old one. You can also try to repair the app - in the top left corner are three lines, if you click on them, a menu opens. In that menu is an entry titled "help", and if you go there, you should find the repair function.

Also, if you have the base game on EA and try to download it via Steam as well, that might cause troubles, too.

I uninstalled it from steam btw. Knowing it maybe would cause some issues. But it`s been like this since yesterday. I didn`t have sims 4 on steam then.. so this started b4 i even tried downloading it from Steam :(
