Thermostat (new function?)
How the thermostat work now? I have feeling i need to put radiators into every room for it to take an effect, i have set cool on thermostat and sim in different room complain about overheating. Is it a new mechanic of thermostat? Or some temps are too strong for thermostat to handle?

thermostats still work the same, radiators/air conditioners work just like the space heaters from snowy retreat you can place them in each room for realism if you want however the thermostat still acts like a central heat/air

Are you using any mods? I remember that some mods change the mechanic from the thermostat if you have For Rent.

Did you connect all the radiators to the thermostat?

Only wicked whims and some social mods.

Okey this is now a dumb question, are all rooms closed and not bugged? I don’t find really a bug report to this case, and clearly your mods should not touch the thermostat. I can’t reproduce this issue.

I can't tell. But after last update a many bugs appeared i never encounter before. But the thing with thermostat is strange. Other saves worked nice, like one thermostat changed the whole house's temp. but now cool setting sometimes looks like not enough for summer heat... but not all the time, just from time to time.

You wouldn't happen to have For Rent? If so, there's an AC unit, fully functional and can be connected to the thermostat.

Try this mod:
Little Ms Sam's Automatic Thermostat[www.curseforge.com]

Thermostats work the same as always for me, but I generally put one on each floor because its EA and shenanigans happen. Don't like my Sims freezing to death indoors.

The only issue with radiators is they are prone to catching fire. Upgrading them fixes that particular problem :)

Thermostats in the game are not Thermo -static. You set the heater to heat and if the temperature goes high, it gets hotter inside. the heater doesn't turn off.
And when you set the "thermostat" cold, and it gets colder, the airconditioner doesn't turn off.
Basically it's a switch, turn it to heat or cool or off and that's what it does.
This mod does it right:
https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/automatic-thermostat-seasons
The temperature stays "static" putting the stat in thermostat.
