The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Files corrupted
This has been a problem for me for a couple of months, but for an odd reason, Steam won't let me into the Sims 4. I checked out the details and realized that apparently my files are corrupted. I did not mod this game whatsoever and did not do anything that would cause this to happen. I don't want to get rid of my worlds (I have about 64 hours on this game and by all means, I don't want to flush that all down the drain).
Does anyone have any advice or know how to fix this problem?
Thank you so much. I hope you have a fantastic day :)

Do a game file integrity check in your Steam Library. This will detect any corrupted or missing game files and re-acquire them. Right-click on the game in your library, then "Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of game files".

You can also repair Sims 4 through the ea app (click on Sims 4 in the ea app, then manage and repair), this can be a slow process.

If nothing helps, your saves are in Documents>Electronic Arts> The Sims 4>Saves.

I am surprised by the lack of response from BarbedWireFork101. Hopefully he or she has been able to resolve the issue by now.
Sorry, I just noticed I got some responses! I'm going to try to fix this issue later today. Thank you all so much for your help!
