Update Patch Issues

Had a patch this afternoon 5/28/2024
Not sure what it was but disabled mods and my Norton is triggering when i try to launch game.

"The Sims 4 does not have a valid digital signature"
game will launch anyway and when i load my save it deletes items because its not recognizing my DLC? i have EA open so all my stuff is showing up. fix please <3

Can you exempt Sims 4 from the Norton Anti Virus checks?.

I can ignore it but i think its whats causing my items to delete because it no longer recognizes my digital signature. Hopefully they iron things out soon, the patch sounds great.

My AV anti-virus was triggered, but that's because EA's install is trying to modify a file called, TS4_DX9_x64.exe . It's okay to let it be modified because it needs to be to let TS4 work.

Huh. Mine didn't do that. I saw someone else saying their their anti virus was acting up, which I honestly haven't seen happen since TS2 days, where every new patch I'd need to tell Nortons to chill out.

Do you have CC? I know it can do this when packs are missing, but if this is happening after patch day, I'm wondering if it's CC related? I do know there's technically been new items added to the game (someone didn't code things right, all the login bonuses were available for all to see...).

Items Removed, is almost certainly down to mods or CC's. It's always advisable to move them all out of the mods folder prior to an update (put them back after), even then some mods will need to be updated.

Thanks all for the feedback i enabled mods (No more deleted items) and had Norton ignore the digital signature not being there and its all good now.
